Yeah I was just thinking that.

Jamie Redknapp saying 'Of course Liverpool are a weaker team now that they have lost Alonso'  ???

He's just assuming that Aquilani will not be able to do a better job than him, We havent even seen this guy play for us yet.

And the other guy that was with Rednkapp was saying 'Liverpool have a good squad, but where's the David Villa?' I actually thought he was joking at first! Im sure if Rafa could have afforded Villa we would have gone for him.

Gerrard said it was a 'mega-blow' to him personally.

I've been thinking about it a lot - why Im not that positive about our chances this season now, whereas in May I was sure we'd win it this season.

It's all down to Alonso for me. Im still gutted he's gone. Alonso was world class, Stevie was talking about the brilliant understanding they had together - you can't develop that overnight. As you say Aquilani is an relatively unknown package - hopefully we strike it lucky and also Lucas may transform this season - who knows?

Tough match but we can win today.

Yeah they say losing Alonso is a big blow but they said nothing on Ronaldo except for the commentators.
