Number one. Are you seriosuly trying to suggest that Rafa agrees with your ridiculous stance? If he does, he is as big a numpty as you are.

Number two. Twelve goals from a season playing up top in a big four team aint that great mate. That's the best season he had too. If you want to persist with the fallacy that he was actually good up top (I don't think even Dirk himself would agree with you) that's lovely, but the stats don'e really back you up.

Next

7th top goalscorer in the prem that season alongside the like of berbatov . like i have said - not a return on the level of torres(but then no one has said he is as good as torres) but still a good return - 1 goal in just under every three games all in his first season in the prem playing as a striker up front .

Yes not brilliant but not bad as well .

so crouch and kuyt are on a par overall with goal returns and cisse got 22 in two seasons which is on a par as well .

Anyway I give in. Kuyt is every bit as important a player to Liverpool as both Gerrard and Torres :laugh:

i respect Kuyt... just dont think he can score 14 goals again next season ? does that mean i dont respect him ? FWIW i dont think Gerrard will score and provide as many assists next season either ? Does that mean i think hes useless and should be sold ?! naaaaah

Kuyt has done well and got all the credit from pretty much everyone for what hes done last season so lets not ruin the discussion by drearily repeating what has already been established..

Next season, playing as a right winger again, i dont expect him to score half as many as he did this season... Why ? because i dont think he has it in him to score consistently... hes not a great finisher and he doesnt have the skills to create chances for himself.. so unless 11 or 12 balls fall his wway in the 6 yard box again (and all credit to him for getting himself into those positions last season) then i wouldnt expect him to score anywhere near as many next season ...

cisse got 5 goals in 16 games 4 in the league and 1 in europe so total of 5 in 25 games- the season afterwards he got 7 in 33 games in league , 2 in fa cup , 8 in 14 in europe , so 17 in 58 games . so 73 games he got 22 goals .

Again mate, who is not respecting him ? Everyone seems to me to be saying he had a good season last season. What I am saying is that he is not as important as Gerrard and Torres and that anyone that thinks he is is clueless.

However many goals you expect him to score Ace, surely you accept that kuyt is every bit as important a member of the team as both Gerrard and Torres

Kuyts is 14 in 48 first season - 11 in 48 second season and 15 in 51 third season

Maybe Rafa thinks the team as a whole is very important... maybe he know that certain people would probably just have Mourinho as manager... maybe he knows that Kuyt is a very important member of a very important team

22 goals in 43 starts for Cisse.....36 of his appearances were as a sub,mainly because he was coming back after an injury.
