Was thinking today in work, what money does rafa have.
say he sold keane for 12 million im sure it was a little bit more theres
+12
Then there is arby gone 3 million
+15 million
Dossena gonna go theres another 4 million
Thats +19 million
Xabi is off say we get 28 million at a min
thats 47 million
We bought glen johnson but most of that money in that deal was money owed to us from peter leaving.
And we have given new contracts to some players...
How much does he have left and that is before we jump into the normal 20 million we have each summer to add to the squad

Richard Dunne - (£3MIL, 35K a week) – Very experienced at premiership and international level, strong as an ox, aerially dominant, surprisingly quick and at 29 just the right side of 30. City have already bought in Toure and seem determined to bring in at least one more centre back so they may be willing to let Dunne go. He has already been linked with a number of clubs and I’m sure he would be willing to speak to us. In the 2007/2008 season he was one of the best centre backs in the league although last season his form wasn’t great. But if there is one position I trust Rafa with when it comes to coaching it is centre back. I’m confident that under the astute guidance of Rafa, Dunne could slot in nicely when needed. Sylvain Distin is another good option and we could probably get him for a similar fee and wages.
Wesley Sneijder - (£18MIL, 80K a week) – Excellent central midfielder who came through the famous Ajax academy system and would be a good replacement for Alonso. He is only 25 but is vastly experienced, can also play on the wing and is more than comfortable with both feet. He is an excellent passer and is a free kick specialist, in fact he is first choice for Holland ahead of Van Persie and others. Real Madrid need to get rid of some players, especially those who are on higher wages, so it is definitely worth making an enquiry.
Patrick Vieira - (£1Mil, 70K a week) – Physically he might not be what he used to be but he knows the Premiership inside out. We play about 60 games a season and I think he could give us 30 – 40 starts and play at a high level. I’m not even going to talk about his ability because he is unquestionably world class. We could offer him a one year contract with the option of a 1 year extension if things work out.
Adam Johnson - (£8Mil, 25K a week) – He has one year left on his contract so we should be able to snap him up for under 10Mil. He is one of the most promising young English players out there and would provide strong competition for Riera. We might even be able to reduce the transfer fee by offering Middlesbrough Hammill permanently and/or a couple of youngsters on loan.
Amr Zaki - (£1.5Mil for one year loan, 30K a week) – Would be a great back up to Torres. He is a strong centre forward who has great stamina and a decent goal scoring record. We saw what he is capable of last year before he got injured. He had a few disciplinary problems at Wigan, mainly returning late from international duty. Right now he is being linked with the likes Portsmouth so I’m sure if Rafa sat him down and explained he was playing for a permanent deal he would toe the line.

With the above squad I would be reasonably confident of mounting a serious title challenge but still be worried about our backup keeper, backup right back and backup right midfielder. But even then, with a little wheeling and dealing it wouldn’t be hard to bring in better players in those positions without spending much.
