well... the other players were tried in competitive games with the first team and have proved they were up for it... Nemeth hasnt been tried and to be relied on as backup without him proving hes up for it wouldnt be the way forward...
whats the point you're making i dont get it ...

Give Nemeth a chance....ahead of Ngog, Pachecho is prob a better prospect but may need a season more to develop further

I'll stick my neck out here a bit and say that of the two, Pacheco is a potential star in the making. He looks like he could be a really huge player for us in the near future and all he needs is games on a first team bases, either coming from the bench or otherwise. He's got that guile and spontaneity about him and that little bit of flare and cunning that we really haven't really had since Garcia to such effect. Nemeth I'm not so sure about. Been hearing promises for too long about him, but have yet to see him make an impact and he's been with us for what seems like a load of years. Would I prefere him over Voronin, though? Aye. Who knows what Rafa's plans are for these two. We could all end up pleasantly surprised, eh.

I'd take either/or to step up this season. What I'd give to see one o' the young fellas hit the Premiership at a gallop, a la Owen in his youth.....Wouldn't it be nice ?

Pachecho seems to be the more talented player, but would wait with him another year before giving him some first team play. I say give Nemeth some chance to prove himself against lower teams, and in domestic cups this season. We have nothing to lose (would Voronin be a better choice?) and he might surprise us with some goals.. If not, loan him out to some decent foreign team.

I think when we are chasing games late, one of the most logical subs in my mind would be Pacheco for Mascherano.

I like Nemeth a lot. The kid looks like a very natural finisher infront of goal. If only he was a liitle bit more developed in a physical sense I'd say yes because the talent is certainly there.

Pacheco is a difficult on because he's a very good forward but he's not an out and out striker. He plays "between the lines" so to speak and he won't get a look in with the likes of Gerrard, Kuyt, Voronin and even Ngog around.

I wouldn't mind seeing them both on the bench more frequently this season though, especially with the new 7 subs rule.

Well if they ain't already better than N'Gog, fogive me for not holding my breath with either of em. I know they're both young, but by this stage players such as Owen and Fowler were already the dogs bOll0cks.

it would be ridiculous to think that ONLY a youngster of the quality of Fowler or Owen could help our squad out.
