Had a great game today, I know the opposition wasn't up to much, but still

He is turning into a great winger who is all about the team and his  amount of assists are getting bigger every season. I expect a big season from him this year

Me too mate, some of his crosses were fantastic!Saying that he was virtually unchallenged at times but he still looked good!
If he can improve from his good form last season and with Johnson behind him as well we will create plenty from the right. Its the holes that Johnson will leave that could be a problem......Im sure we will have worked on that given Rafa knowing how much he likes to get forward!

I cant wait till the season starts proper!! :buttrock

Yeah we all know he isn't the most gifted of footballers but he has turned himself from a unfashionable player into one of our top players and he is improving all the time.

I know we have bigger players but I bet you he is first on Rafa's team sheet

Yepp it was good solid display against Singapore, :censored: opposition but still some very nice touches from most players, except Eggnog who looked :censored: again. I was very impressed with Nemeth, he looks very very good and must surely be ahead of Lucas in the midfield pecking order, or is he striker, I'm a bit confused on that one, in any case give him some proper games Rafa.

:D , thanks for calling us a sh!te opposition , the same opposition that has beaten Thailand on a couple of occasions  whom we couldn't even do . He played well , managed to get out of sticky situations even with a player on him , he looks much faster as well

Must offer praise where its due (oppo aside) Dirk Kuyt looked a viable and potent threat for the time he was on. He altered the point of attack well, and offered much.

Real tests lie ahead though.

Need to sell Eggy-ogg, lucas, vorinon, and deggan......and buy some decent replacements...otherwise we wont have moved on from last season, these players are just not up to scratch...we are carrying too much dead weight, and if the likes of Alonso, Torres, and kuyt get injured and we have to rely on any of those lot then we can kiss goodbye to the title for yet another season. We seem to have a case of some good players wanting away......and the :censored: want to stay!.Rafa needs to get tough, and boot these average hangers on out of this club. :nod

Kuyt was impressive today... think most other players would have tried the shot for 2 of the goals he assisted rather that put the cross in...
did well in finding gaps behind the opposition fullback and made them pay for it...

hopefully he carries the form into the new season...

Kuyt has been captain twice , during the st gallen game as well in the 2nd half , i think if jamie and gerrard are missing , kuyt would be our captain . Well in for the lad , he played brilliant

I was at the Singapore-Liverpool game and I must say that Kuyt was brilliant when he came on. I'm not really his fan but he's beginning to make me eat my words.

PS: Was impressed with the young stars Pacheco and Nemeth too. And I was nearly in tears when Torres and Alonso came on. The crowd was screaming "Xabi Aloso!" and almost immediately, u can see the difference between him and Lucas. :p

Not sure there are any Kuyt "haters" Reginald, although there may be one or two who don't buy into the "best right midfielder in the Premiership" mantra.

I know it makes the World go round and all that, but quite why if you have a dissenting word to say about the manager you "hate him with a passion and dream about his wedding tackle" has always been a mystery to me, and this thing with Kuyt is similar in many respects. Not you particularly Reg, but some people simply cannot countenance a possibilty that anyone would have a word to say against him. If you do point out that he's either not quite Usain Bolt in the pace department, not quite Steven Gerrard in the shooting department, not quite Xabi Alonso in the passing department, or not quite me in the skill department people lose all grip on reality.

He's a good player right enough, with limitations. Nobody "hates" him though, do they    ???

Kuyt was immense yesterday, surely becomes one of our most influential players, well deserved the captaincy.
