I don't really understand this point. We "don't give a monkeys" about what? we all hope he fails so surely that's "giving a monkeys". If he scored loads of goals and fired them to the title are you saying we wouldn't care

I think what you mean is that you'd really rather we swept the whole thing under the carpet and forgot about the debate about whether we should have signed him or not. That's not goign to happen, regardless of how well he does. If he gets injured next week, I fully expect those that didn't think we should have signed him to come on here and rejoice in his misfortune. Even though a bad season for him will prove me wrong, I'll rejoice with them.
It's very much like a new signing though, you don't know if it's really worked out until a fair amount of time has passed. If we really have passed up the opportunity though to sign a top class goalscorer on a free though (and it is a million miles away from being proven that we have at the moment) then all Liverpool supporters really ought to "give a monkeys".
