It matters not whether or not you've said countless times that such and such was an excellent signing, that we have clearly improved, that by and large he has done fairly well in the transfer market etc etc etc. No, you hate Rafa and "dream of his wedding tackle"

I do understand some posters reluctance to discuss football sensibly, but sometimes perhaps if they just stayed out of topics in which they appear to have no interest it would benefit everybody. A perfect example of what I'm talking about is the Owen to Man Utd thread. In that, anyone who thinks he might have been worth a shout is either a c..., or hates Rafa with a passion, or both. Senisble discussion drowned out by internet gangsters again and again.
Why not just say "well I wouldn't sign him because he's injury prone/a horrible little c.../past his best/disloyal or whatever? As i said earlier, we'll know soon enough whether it was a good move or not the fact we didn't sign him, so why get so worked up about it? The problem with shouting everyone down with insults and the rest, is that when they are subsequently proven to have been talking utter sh!t, people don't take them seriously anymore. Such a shame.
