Daws couldnt have put it better IMO. Roger deserves the 15 but I cant held but feel for Roddick, he looked absolutely gutted.

Congrats Fed :)

I don´t hate Federer but I´m Nadal fan (who is better than Roger). :D

Nadal will retire in 3 years max tho, his knees ahve already gone you can tell... hes a fast burner

gutted for Roddick but Federer has his 15 majors now, and he does deserve them

No, Nadal is a beast, a physical marvel, he has learnt that he must play only the big tournaments.
He will be back and make Federer cry again.  :D

Roddick played like a loser in the second set, 5 -1 in the tie-break, how the hell did he lost it? Unforgivable

Unbelieveable game - fantastic.

You only win those if you´re on top of your game, neither lay down, they slugged it out.

Most other players would have lost heart, sacrificed the game whatever, these two wanted it like no other.

A great advert for tennis and the first time I´ve watched a game (ok 90 minutes of it as I went to bed at 1 a.m. and it was still the 3rd set) for years.

Good lad Roger. Nice to see true class prevail again, despite the clamour of a handful of boneheads.

F*ck off Murray, you useless c*nt. You will NEVER come close to this man.

Hard lines Roddick - against any other player in the World you would have been the winner. There's no shame in losing to Federer and you have shown the World you are a better player than many gave you credit for.

Congratulations to the best player in history.  :buttrock  :bowdown  :bowdown  :bowdown  :bowdown

Lando, give it a rest. We know you don't like Murray, or the scottish, but he played well, had a great tournament and is still progressing.

And Federers class? He slowed Roddicks game down with stupid calls a fair few times and is nowhere near the player he used to be.

roddick is a class act tho, we can all agree on that one

F*ck that! I've had to put up with a month of mindless morons spouting sh*te about "Andy Murray will win Wimbledon this year" and "Murray is the best", etc.

Anyone who knows anything about tennis and isn't being paid to tell you what you want to hear will agree that he is the most overrated pile of cr*p out there.

Just because a bunch of brainless tw*ts whom show no interest in tennis apart from a couple of weeks in June want to spend a day waving a plastic flag around to support a selfish little c*ck who hates them, doesn't mean he's going to win.

He's a classless c*nt who will NEVER win any Grand Slam.

Not unless he poisons the f*cking competition.

I'll take that bet fatman.

Murray is the last one that wants all the hype, he just wants to play his game. He'll be world number 2 this year, and he will win a grand slam event.

I don't hate Murray but I agree that he won't win a grand slam in the next 2 years.

I'll put up an entire eyebrow and ALL the hair from one nostril, Daws. And the loser posts the resuls in the what you look like thread.

Ok?

I forgot about this thread, great match!

I honestly though Roddick may of won the match after taking the first set, but Federer has shown again why he will go down as one of THE greats in tennis. He was a wonderful style of tennis which isn't so reliant on power like we see in the modern day game; but more of placement and finess.

I personally would of liked to of seen Roddick prevail as I usually go for the underdog, unfortunately it wasn't to be, unlucky Arod.

A personal observation of my own on the two modern day legends of tennis in Sampras and Federer have alluded me to the theory that neither seem to have any real personality which I think is a bit of a shame for the sport itself.
