way moe competition my a$$... more like no competetion at all... just the top 4 and the williams are miles ahead of the other 2... might aswell start things off with the semis ffs....

apart from the williams sisters, last years other semi finalists were Jie Zheng and Elena Dementieva.

im pretty sure the other two are not in the top 4

The no1 womens spot means nothing now. Safina was the no1 and she was the underdog what does that say? No wonder it has changed so many times in recent years. Henin never should have retired so early. At least Clijsters is coming back.
