Kharhaz wrote:My biggest gripe with current day celebrities, is the fact that they are the most boring, braindead, talentless waste of space on gods given earth. And for that reason, are considered "Celebrity" status. You have the death of Jade Goody. So many worshipping her as a great mother, she was a munter, you have the constant in your face gays, norton, carr, winton. You have the talentless bints mccall, brooke, cotton. You have the beckhams, you have the professional karaoke singers reforming to produce yet more copied songs. You also have the dad or mum of the years thrust in your face, people like peter andre and john terry, and mothers of the year like kerry katona. You have british footballers who have the basic ability to kick a ball, in which it involves the basics in football trebling their worth if they are british. You have publishers who produce stories that mock the soldiers of the british army in a totally lame "scoop" in order to make sales for their newspaper, although proven to be false, make a star of that idiot (pierce morgan). You also have another who tells lies about a disaster that happened and once again is made into a celebrity into which, just to rub salt in the wounds, because we pay a licence fee, pay his wages when he appears on tv (kelvin mckenzie). And of course the fact that there are too many reality shows being shoved in our faces which will end up, regardless of the show, a singer, ruining someone elses song live on tv, and hearing the same drone for the next few months. Until of course the new series starts up.
We also have to put up with these "celebrities" taking up the time on the news. Whats more important? A reminder of Michael Jackson dying or countless innocent kids being killed in the middle east? Michael Jackson of course, who cares about these kids? The press obviously dont.
I hate everything about celebrities these days because simply, they distract the attention away from what really matters. These shallow, talentless bastards insist on being the most talked about and in your face. It says it all when our own government go out of their way to ensure some ugly singer on britains got talent is well and spare no remorse to a family who have sacrificed their son fighting in a battle these (moat repairing) politicians has chosen as this kids fate.
Its sad. Consider this. A young man, 19 years old, died in Iraq. In an illegal war that Tony Blair created. His family and friends mourned his loss. Jade Goody died, a nation mourned hers. And that is my celeb gripe. I know much better people than these idiots known as celebrities.

Ian Huntley was a cracking caretaker mate. Shall we all have a love-in for him, too?
