If he's that desperate to play with Masch then Messi should come and join us  :D

Anyway i've heard that Barcelona have turned their attention to De Rossi from Roma now which is good news i suppose.

Interesting retort....

I'll consider replying when you've matured a tad....

Traa....

or developed a sufficient sense of humour perhaps.

Chillax dude, I'm just messing with you.  :D

I therefore retract my comment....

Let's all sing Kum-bi-ya 'round a campfire, eh ?

Where did you hear that from St Mick? I also head this morning on SSN that there could be a chance Wenger is ready to cash in on Fabregas.

Why I couldn't care less if he was to never play for Liverpool again

Football FanCast guest columnist Thomas Kelly couldn't care less if Mascherano never played for Liverpool again.

Maybe I'm just getting cranky in my old age, but I have just about had my fill of the conduct from the likes of Alonso and Mascherano in recent weeks. The latter in particular riles me greatly and it's clear that the fine that Rafa gave Javier, with regards to speculating about his future has had any impact on him. He can't stop talking about it and I have reached the point where I couldn't care less if he stays or goes.

His latest instalment speaking to Don Balon:

"I am very proud and thankful for the interest from Barcelona and Real Madrid. It's good for me to have these two teams interested in me,"

"Both teams are very important, but at this moment I think that Barcelona is a little bit better and that's why they've won all that they have."

Thanks for letting us know Javier and glad you didn't feel the need to mention as to what an important football club you are currently at, who pay you well and who you are currently under contract with.  Talking about other clubs shows a complete lack of respect to everyone associated at Liverpool football club, especially the manager who was hoping this summer to just put the finishing touches to the squad ahead of next season's challenge.

Unfortunately the speculation puts everyone in an awkward position and suddenly Rafa is left with a dilemma as to what he now does with regards to Javier's future. Does he sit back and hope that neither Barcelona or Real Madrid make a bid, which will obviously tempt the player, or does he actively look to sell him as soon as possible so he can get a suitable replacement in ahead of pre-season. It is the kind of problem that Benitez shouldn't have to face, but that shows player loyalty for you.

Personally I would sell Mascherano, because if he is not committed to the football club then in the long run we are best off without him. This is not the first time he has felt the need to pass comment on other teams and with reports that his agent Walter Tamer has been having meetings with officials at Barca; he obviously feels that his future must lie away from Anfield. It would be a grave shame to lose him, but there is no point in keeping players whose heart is obviously elsewhere.

Yes his view is a little skewed mate but Maschs comments are hurtful too. Compare them to Fernando how he talks when other clubs are linked with him. You either want to play here or you dont.

Did he contact the journalist to give then these quotes OR was he asked a question in a certain way??

Anyway it looks like he is angling for a pay rise and I donr blame him if he is on 25000 a week when you compare it to others

That's different, Stevie was born and bred in Liverpool and came through the academy. Anyway your right about the money, if it is just that then he should negotiate that with Rafa privatley instead of flirting with Barca like this. I mean how hard is it to pick up a phone and say 'boss I think I should be paid better what do you say?'.

This is just chiuldish behaviour imo even if he is deserving of more money. Completley not the way to go about it.

Bav calm down - these are the same quotes we have all seen - what the blogger has missed of is the fact that masher himself has stated HE IS HAPPY AT LIVERPOOL in that same interview.

Your believing far too much in the press lately mate ,

And i dont blame him one bit for asking for level money as other major players.
