Calm down mate its all just pure speculation and rumours printed in the papers just to create headlines and people are falling for it - it happens every summer and every summer the press get around 1% off things right .

even if we spent all that on the replacements i cant see us getting no one as near as good.

man utd have all this money now. no one wants to sign for them..

Rafa just need to keep on rejecting and rejecting. were so close. and if they go our dreams of winning the title goes with them, especially Xabi

Its the whole gerrard saga over again   :(

it's early doors yet mate - the whole summer plus a bit of sept before the window closes

premature to say we (or united ) can't find anyone

for the record i think at least one of them will go , and the other will reluctantly stay

Yeh, Valdano has a chip on his shoulder, because he was so confident that he'd buy Alonso and Alonso eventually came here.

Since then, Valdano has criticised Rafa and Liverpool's game.

The papers talk s *i*e big time.

but i think there is far too much smoke on this one. for there not to be a fire.

Like you say there's a long way to go before the window shuts. but this problem can e solved in 30 seconds.

Both come out in public and Say ''I'm not leaving Liverpool and I'm staying 100%''

Non of this '' I'm happy at Liverpool, but its good for me to be linked to these two clubs" S *i*e

that can be read as 1) they want to leave 2) they want more money

i would have thought Its in their interest to stay  quiet, as this causes rafa to get a squeaky bum and forces his hand on offering an improved contract  :p

But not at the expense of Alonso maybe one of these players instead of cash for Arbeloa?

Don't know about you mate, but I don't see anyone in that list that makes me wish they were in our first team at the expense of the existing lads....

Yes obviously Eggnog is much better than Van Nistelroy isn't he  ???  :Oo:
And Robben wishes he could have the talent and speed of Riera and Babel. :no

FFS that is the kind of post which winds me up, really it does.

Having said that I really do hope we can keep hold of Alonso and Mascha but if we get a good amount of money for them then anybody in that list would be very nice thank you, not as a replacement necessarily but would certainly improve the team.

BTW If Rafa really did say that to real Madrid negotiators then  :buttrock   :bowdown

What has you so grumpy then, sizzlechest ?  :eyebrow

At 46 - or whatever age Van Donkeyface is now, I would certainly not buy him as a substitute for Torres. a) He's too old, b) He's injury prone, c) It sends the completely wrong message to the youngsters, Eggnog included

Robben has a attitude that sucks beyond belief. A petulant child, and lest you forget, was more than a bit disingenuous in his comments about LFC in the CL last year, so wake up and smell the coffee....

But I will agree with you on the Alonso and Masch comments

We can agree to disagree, no need for petulant remarks though, eh ?

There is every need for them when someone talks :censored: like saying nobody on that list would improve our team. There is devotion to the team, then there's naivety, then there's being blinkered and then there's you.  :D  :p  :rasp
