I'm sorry but I just cannot see us getting all this cash and having the ability to go out and buy some class players. Untill someone is sold I don't realy wana dream of players we can bring in I just can't picture Liverpool having 40million to spend.

It would be brilliant tho!

Silva and Johnson for certain and then A.N.Other with the 10 - 15 million left over. I love transfer speulation.

Awesome.. number 19 here we come.. haha

Not getting carried away lasted long didn't it..

25 mil plus borjan is nice, but not those fantasy numbers i was hoping for. i hope rafa can be the silver tongue and negotiate more...
something like 20 mil plus bojan plus toure. wow, now we have solve our back-up striker problem, replacement for masch and 20 mil in the pocket. great deal.
i hope he is not using his wife as an excuse, in that case, he was very badly advised coz he was a top guy for us.

12 -18 million plus Hleb and Bojan would be fantastic (if we keep Alonso).

We have a problem, Mascherano and Alonso are so good, that they're in the agenda of the best clubs of Spain.

Real Madrid is thinking on Alonso, but naturally, if they fail to achieve that, the B plan is Mascherano (it seems Pellegrini doesn't give much importance to the fact that Alonso is a deep lying playmaker and he considers both players as candidate to occupy the same role in the team) according to the Real Madrid press.

The Barcelona press also reports that Real Madrid and Barcelona are in a bid war for those players.

So I'm worried. Bojan is someone we probably could use but with the 20 M what do you do? who do you bring to replace Mascherano or Alonso, I don't care?

:no Worried sick.

I know that Xabi is happy at Liverpool. But I also know that Xabi is ready to play somewhere else if the clubs agree.

The problem is, that both the Barcelona and Madrid press acknowledge that both Mascherano and Alonso have a price. The bad news is that the negotiations are on. And when negotiations are happening you have to be worried.

What's worse, both presses admit that Benitez is asking high sums, as in 40 or 45M for each player, they admit the negotiations are hard, but there are being negotiations, if you see what I mean.

I hope Rafa knows what he's doing.

Oh dear, now that is worrying if negotitations are going on I just thought it was our press causing mischief, doesnt sound to good does it. And as Lakes has pointed out with the yanks needing fund if these players are sold how much of that money will actually be put back into the squad.

FFS just after the season we have just had I didnt expect for 1 minute that masch & Alonso would both leave. And what sh!tty timing aswell with Ronaldo and Tevez buggering off from the mancs aswell  :no

You cant force players to stay if they want to leave.
Masch has a fecking cheek rafa rescused him from West hams reserves. A little bit of gratitude wouldnt go amiss, and as for his MRS dont get me started on her.
She would probably be flipping burgers in McDonalds in Argentina if she hadnt have met him......

Buy yerself a sunbed luv if your cold and need a tan you can even wear you big feck off Gucci sunglasses under it.

Saying she's homesick and wanting to go to Spain would be like me saying Im homesick so I'll go and live in Austrailia  :glare:

exactly Ciggy thats what I was thinking. I don't think he wants to go for the very reasons you've stated, there aren't any direct quotes from him saying he wants to go to Barca are there? I said not too long ago that he could be future captain at this club, I want him to stay. But if it came to losing one, he could go to Barca for at least £30m plus Toure
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

At the end of the day if they want to go let them. But we need to get a much as we can in return. And as for money going back into players or the club the owners are refinaincing their deal. I don't think they planned to sell Alonso and Masch to fund that all along so I am sure most if not all will go back to Rafa to spend. Success on the pitch and a new stadium dictates how much money we bring in. We don't have the new stadium yet so it's important Rafa is able to replace players with equally good players if they leave otherwise it could affect how well we perform on the pitch. The owners know this. And anyway Rafa has control of transfers so im sure if they tried anything silly he would kick up a fuss.

These feckin WAGS get on me nerves   :D

P!ssed off with her, she's the wife of a millionaire footballer, she knew she had to move around the world when she met him, all they do is get dolled up look pretty and go shopping.

All she has to do is live in liverpool for a few years while he wins some medals then she can move where ever the feck she likes and live the rest of her life wearing her Gucci sunglasses on the beach.

Got their whole lives ahead of them his career will be over in another 10 years, ungratefull fecking cow.

Whats another year? nothing when your young plenty of time to go to Barca.

Translated it gives this...Doesn't make much sense though.

MERCATO
Madrid interferes in the signing of Mascherano

The unique formula that has been happened to him to Florentine Perez to cover the success of the triplet of the Barça is to clock on and off of compulsive form. To the price that is, and if it to the azulgrana club is being overcome, far better. Discarded Villa by the refusal of the Valencia to transfer to him and with the price of Ribéry shot because of 94 million paid by Ronaldo Christian, Real Madrid now tries to torpedo the “Mascherano operation” with a supply that, assure in the white house, the Liverpool will not be able to reject. Barça and Real Madrid have entered a war with an unpredictable result.

Until yesterday, Txiki Begiristain alone handled the hiring of the Argentine midfield player. Their representatives traveled to Barcelona two days ago to agree to the contractual conditions and only he already remained to convince to the technical “network”, Rafa Benítez, of which he reduced 40 million plus the cession of Measure the perimeter of with which he appraised his march. Mascherano was channeled until a call of Madrid can ruin the azulgrana objective.

Reliable sources assure that the white supply is stratospheric. The quantity has not extended but it scores that it would approach 35 million. Florentino and Valdano see more feasible than the Spanish trainer comes off itself Mascherano before of Xabi Alonso, his initial objective, so the rest will throw. To blast, again.

The white project is I trace of the azulgrana. Before the disembarkation of Florentine Perez, the Barça already had estimated the hiring of Villa and Ribéry. Ramon Calderón walked romped then promising, mainly, to Christian, Kaká and Cesc. The forward of the Valencia he attracted the idea to him to comprise of the leader of Liga, an equipment of jugones that practiced a spectacular soccer. With the French of the Bayern already contact and spoken with its agents had settled down. Ribéry, that wanted to leave the Bundesliga, also it seduced the Camp to him Nou and the pact was fast.

And the million Florentine Perez arrived and the market was altered. The Valencia, harrased by its economic oppression, raised the price and the Bayern compared almost to the left-handed person at the level of Ronaldo Christian. They were the first explosions of the fight.

But it is that, even, there is a battle by plan “B”. The Barça drilled to Forlán and Benzemá and negotiated by Ibrahimovic. Real Madrid, also. The lateral Zhirkov is even a confrontation element. Obsessed whereupon it is not spoken of the successes azulgrana, Real Madrid wants to bring about the maximum possible roar. Liga, Florentine gains leaves to scene. The Champions rises, drops the Kaká pump. Basket adjudges title ACB, appears Ettore Messina. It is the war. In capital letters
