Real are apparantly willing to offer 30Mil plus Negredo and that Bueno. If those are 2 players Rafa has targeted and not just been offered like Nunez then maybe it's worth taking it.

Robben is a super player exactly what we need, if Madrid want Xabi and he wants to go, we should be saying £20m Robben and Horseface and thats the deal, they'll accept that.

Ramos is brilliant at going forward but he's poor defensively. The whole madrid backline is garbage and while all the spend on the offensive side , they have to improve the backline

who cares if he is poor defensively? When we play teams that have a chance of threatening us down the wings we can play Arbeloa.  I think Ramos would be less exposed playing under Rafa and with Mascherano and Carra.

Ramos is easily as good as arbeloa defensively, in fact i would say he is much better, also he is about 100 times better going forward. Madrid wont sell him in a million years though

I wouldnt let that fool you, there team was horribly unbalanced last season, but looking at each player on an individual basis a lot of there team would easily get in our team no problem.

I cannot believe that 37.5% of you would sign Robben!!!! He's a dirty diving cheating b@stard..... He is in no way a liverpool style player!! How anyone can even mention his name is beyond me. He is the personification of all that is bad about the modern game. He'd go down faster than Drogba... Can anyone  remember what he did to Reina???
Well named, that cheating robbing git!!!

Saviola - Liverpool could offer 6 million euros for Saviola
According to the site 'Calciomercato', the deleantero argentino del Real Madrid could stop at the English club to be paired with Fernando Torres

AS.COM | 11/06/2009

Javier Saviola, Real Madrid striker, could be one of the first players to leave the discipline of all white. According to the Italian website 'Calciomercato', which publishes the offer, Liverpool would be willing to pay 6 million euros for the player Madrid. He adds that the coach Rafa Benitez Spanish striker would have 27 years of the Argentine ideal companion for Fernando Torres in the attack of the 'Reds'.

Saviola would be well in the Spanish League after passing through Barcelona, Seville and Madrid, and have not met the expectations generated after its signing by the Catalan club, who came with the poster of future star. In Real Madrid, has not had the opportunities and will be expected of a player to leave the white discipline.. Furthermore, shared clothing with his compatriot Javier Mascherano to the English club.

Probably is a decent gamble for that sort of cash but the fact that he has been unable to find any decent run of form at any club for the last 8 years doesnt bode well. Even Owen isnt THAT bad.

Thats would make the value of the deal close to 50-60 million?!

More like those 2 players + 15 million?

with the kind of money that madrid have demonstrated they;'r willing to haemorrhage on players this summer, given xabi's importance to us and (more importantly) the 3 year contract we have round his neck.... is 50m that much?  :idea

Nope it was actually 30mil plus those 2 players. Rafa is going to take as much as he can for Xabi and Real really want him. After how much they have spent so far who is to say what they will offer. We don't have to sell either but they really want him.

Id take Huntelaar + Cash - add to our Dutch contingent.

But only if it was because Alonso asked to leave - hes a vital part of our team. Not easy to replace him and we really struggled last year whenever he didnt play.

They don't owe us :censored:. Owen shafted us on that deal not Madrid. If they have a lot of money and want to regain sucess does that make them :censored:? Sure the way they openly court players is bad but at the end of the day they are probably the most famous team in Europe. I think the players Rafa has targeted from then in addition to the 30Mil is a good deal. Robben is too injury prone and RVN is too old. Sometimes you need tobe realistic.
