Given they've just trousered 80 million quid, and they've just sold the best right midfielder in the Premiership you have to wonder why Man Utd aren't knocking our door down trying to get their hands on the bloke who was by some accounts, the second best right midfielder in the league. Perhaps it's the "we don't sign Liverpool players" thing which is stopping them homing in on Dirky boy, or it could just be that they see this Valencia bloke as having more of the qualities which more obviously suit their style of play. Interesting one though ???

Yes, because fergie has a policy of buying Liverpool players like he has buying Chelsea and Arsenal players! I doubt fergie, or any manc fan, would willingly admit Liverpool might have quality players. Besides anything else we are ONE club, Kuyt may or may not be the best RM, but the fact remains that is only in the PREMIERSHIP and I reckon fergie will either go for Valencia or even shop at Valencia before signing a Liverpool player.

And as is apparent by the poll so far, there are a lot of peewees out there and our Dirky Boy is underrated even by the so called fans who supposedly watch him every week (and then come on here looking to have a dig) I wonder how many of these "superior" RMs that must be prevalent if there's "no way" Dirk is the best RM, no possibility whatsoever, then I wonder how many could be as comfortable as Kuyt at RM (his unnatural position) AND CF. Not that that is relevant in terms of the question, but these supposedly better RMs didn't exactly skin Kuyt statistically despite being RMs. Perhaps some place way too much importance on beating defenders ie rate an RM on what they believe an RM should do rather than his actual contribution. That's never been Beckham's strength, he must be the worst RM ever! (certainly never was the CM he's reportedly always wanted to be)
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer

Kuyt has come on in leaps and bounds. He seems to have got rid of the infuriating habit of giving the ball away and making lunatic runs. He seems to have settled down and concentrated on his strengths. Stamina and hard work. Keep it simple and you cant go far wrong.
As for Beckham. He is and always has been a one trick pony. Crosses, corners and free kicks. No variety. No surprises. If you chopped his right foot off he would never have made it as a footballer

??? I think you could say that for most players mate to be honest, although it's certainly hard to disagree with your pronouncement.

if my dog did three turds and one of the turds was better than the other two, it would still be a turd.

Wtf is he on about... i keep checking at the top of the page to make sure im in the right thread.. Its Kuyt ffs ! one good thing about him though is that he offers atleast one or two good laughs every time he plays....
Seriously though, keep up the goal tally and i doubt many would be calling for him to be replaced from the starting side... hes had a good season (end of season i should say but then again it doesnt seem to make a difference, have seen some saying benny is worth more than 10-15mill as proven by his displays  :O )... Besides the goals though and the few assists here and there hes a liability... simple as... chop of his head and i doubt youd notice a difference in his overall play

All right, but apart from the sanitation, medicine, education, wine, public order, irrigation, roads, the fresh water system and public health, what have the Romans ever done for us?

Great article about Cruyff in 442 magazine this month and Kuyt is used as an example of a modern footballer who with his workrate and running has made the old wingers in the total football team obsolete.

One of my mates reckons that if Kuyt could actually play football he would be the best player in the world. :D

He is however destined to be a player that will never set Anfield on fire but is important to the team, a lot better than most people think he is and probably worshipped by the team that do stats and analysis of games
