Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Yeah but look at the mistake Robinho made..... and we've got a team of spaniards, brazos and Masher... I would like to think he'd prefer us. Of course he might have a hard on for Real Madrid you never know.

Although he has said CL footy wont influence his choice of team i'm sure playing with quality players plus his mate Masch will be a factor.

We are in the Champions League, finished second in the League and are top four regulars. Citeh are Champions League wannabes, haven't finished in the top four in the Premiership and I don't believe they're even in Europe

Citeh may offer better wages, but they have a lot of money and he may end up no more a first choice at COMS than he was at old twatford. I'm sure success would influence his decision more than money

The factor that might jeopardise his coming here is not only financial on our part, finding the money and/or wages, but also what leaving old twatford for COMS or Anfield would mean. He might decide to play safe and play in Italy or Spain, after all he has won the Premiership and European Cup so the only new challenge he would face, at Anfield certainly, is winning the same with a different club. I think moving to Citeh would be a big gamble and probably a waste of potentially his best years.

But hasn't he said he wants his family to remain in Cheshire? Moving you family once you are settled is tough thing to do so I think he is taking that into consideration.

Lets make one thing clear about Tevez and Barry´s desire for CL football - its not becuase they want to be on telly, its the bonus´s they get for winning games, goals and moving through the competition - its money motivated. So if LFC pay him 100 thou a week and Citeh offer 150, if you add up the CL bonuses plus league position bonuses etc.. I´m sure at the end of the day we´re not far apart - for a lot more fun......

I'm not so sure it is all about money. Tevez maybe now he's won things, but what has Barry won? It's not like he'd earn a basic crust wherever he played, the increase in wages would be second fiddle to winning. I'm sure kids everywhere would love to be paid professionals, but surely the dream as a kid is far more winning the Premiership, Champions League and World Cup than whether they get paid £30k a week, £70k a week, £100k a week or £150k a week.

If Barry was about the money he could have pushed to move or run down his contract ages ago, he obviously is motivated by loyalty and just hoped he win things like Gerrard could have moved to bigger money and success, but wanted to play for us and hopes he wins the league with Liverpool. Tevez may have an altogether different agenda, he might or might not have satiated his hunger for success.

Barry has 3 years left, lets not get sentimental........ its a lot of money when you´re out on the street at 31 without a qualification to your name.

tevez anyone was the question- please no way!  why, i think the world of masha but even he will not sway me on this. if we need to strengthen the side with 2 or 3 players we need to look at players who will have no connection with manure, want to prove they want to play for the liver bird upon their chest.

this will & should take time to find the right person, not rush into any decsion that will cost us again!

sell players to fund new blood, yes do it but not at the exspense of players who have had a kick up the backside & proved they love this club like alonso.

i just don't undestand for the life of me why any LFC fan would want tevez anywhere near our club!
he's not worthy to wear the "red shirt"  he's not good enough for manure - believe me he's fecking not good enough for my beloved club!

people go on about flops we have signed like lucas, babel, dossena, deggan, & as much as i agree with most of the opinions with these players, people on here need to understand that for me i'd rather keep all of them rather than sell them to fund a bid for tevez!

there are better players out there we can sign with no connection with manure, within the so called budget- cause if the so called fee for tevez is to believed then we can surley spend the money moe wisley, if the yank tw@ts can find the money for one player who is overated, over priced, etc they are fecking p1ssing me off bigtime, more than ever.

i don't care if tevez was only on loan to manure, he fecking loved it the manc, greedy neck scared tw@t!  just remember people when that kunt scored against us earlier on in the season,he fecking loved it, oh but so he should have i hear you say manure are paying his wages, exactley my piont- i don't eve want to help towards a players wages who fecking played for manure, & we sign them from manure, if

he isn't good enough for al whisky nose, he isn't good enough for LFC end of.

wtf is that all about... id take Teves in a second... and ya know what.. id play him down the left flank and tell him to go watch Rooney videos and try to play a role similar to his... how do u like that ?!

give it a break i dont care if he played for manutd or whatever... if he improves the side and is a good pro then he'd make a good signing ...

Tevez will be a fantastic signing and him coming from Manure is a bonus as it will wind Fergie up so much.
