Typing on a pdf document?

I am applying for a job and am required to fill out an application form which is in PDF format but I would rather not print it and fill in by hand as my handwriting is terrible.

I have sent PDF forms to people in the past and they have returned them having filled them out with typed responses on the form rather than by hand.

How is this done?

I think you've got to save it onto a different bit of your computer, then use it as a different document or some b0ll0cks. I did manage to achieve it once but feck knows how. Needless to say, the whole thing is a mystery to me, as is this complete nonsense the "notebook". The only discernable change to the old windows system it brings as far as I can see is that it makes your documents look sh!t.

Those who invent computer programmes and the like are a combination of utterly brilliant, and totally fecking clueless. Why can't they just make it easy. Get rid of old papaerclip head for starters, total waste of time that c... Ask him a question and you get "I see you're trying to type a letter  ??? " Err no, actually, I was trying to do a cv for my sister so feck off. Useless.

Those forms are PDFs especially designed to be editted, so if yours isn't, it must be done with the Acrobat software, not the reader, but the professional one which you can download for evaluation 30 days.

Basically that software if will allow you to export pdf to, say, Word, then you edit it, and then you convert it back to pdf.

I think Open Office does it too...

Are you in a hurry? because now it's a bit late for this things, but tomorrow I can help you tomorrow if nobody else has done this around here.

A PDF can be edited using a full version of Adobe Acrobat. There may well be some free bits of software out there that'll claim to edit them too. however Acrobat is expensive so go for the other option or do what I did - got the company I work for to buy me it.

That works but because it is only a trial when I save the file it marks each page with big red writing! Can't really hand in a job app like that.

Any help would be great. I want to type my information onto the PDF with no watermarks and not pay for the software because I am cheap.

I have found one that can be done online through a website but don't really want to type my data into an insecure website.
