the guy must be close to 35, but he would be worth at least 10 a season from free-kicks, no one compares to him in that department

I agree that he is amazing, but he is too old now...we don't need him at this age

Signing on fee - maybe, but wages in France are peanuts.

Where would he fit in exactly?

Presumeably this is not the diminutive little trickster who so illumiated the Riverside all those years ago? I do remember him sitting on the pitch in floods when they got relegated, and also the occasional mazy dribble. I think he would have been a really top player, particularly if he could have beefed up to the extent where he could kick it further than 10 paces.

If it's not him, what is the go with these fellas and their names? Given they aren't actually their real names, in that Zico was probably called Alfredo de Snachez Esporialto or something, why can't they pick a nickname which nobody has had previously? It can't be that hard surely, think of a nickname, stick it through Wikipedia and see if it's already gone. You know the kind of thing, "aw feck me look, someones already had Pele. Shame cos it did have kind of a ring to it".

If as I assume it is not the same Jouninho (and indeed even if it is), he is about as likely to sign for Liverpool as Ian Rush.

:D

No mick its the one that resembles a vampire (or to me what a vampire should look like)

Looks like he has been up for about 3 weeks on the ale and god knows what else.

He is a top top free kick taker, but would imo have no hope in our 100mph premiership.

Good footballer though and would probably still do a job in serie A.

Must confess I've never heard of him Ace. On a seperate note, I suppose Ronaldo is the best free kick taker in the Premiership, but who do you reckon is second? I'd give it to the chirpy cockney, the tousle haired artful dodger himself, Jimmy Bullard. Very rarely fails to hit the target.

Juninho has been playing for Lyon the last few seasons and is definately better from set pieces than Ronaldo.
Bullard is definately a top free kick specialist,

In the Prem we have maybe Young at Villa, Richardson at Sunderland is decent, and even Danny Murphy.
But nothing like the brazilian, no way.

If we let Sami go, why would we buy in a 35 year old? I'd rather keep Sami !
