Many , many scientists with the highest intellectual credentials believe in Intelligent Design or that we had to be created by someone/something.Don't kid yourslef that evolution is a proven fact.

The more we find out about out universe, according to many scientists the more evolution becomes an article of faith - a la religion.

I find it unbelievabel that so many people accpet evolution (macroeveolution that is not simply variation within a species) as a proven fact.

The fact of the matter is its all hypothesis and guesswork which cannot ever be replicated or viewed /tested as to it's fundamental hypotheses.

Sure it is. In fact, Darwin was quite religious himself. You can't reconcile Darwin's theories with a literal interpretation of the Bible (Koran etc.) very easily but there's nothing in Darwin's theories that precludes the possibility of a higher power. The higher power just needs to be fairly hands off in his approach.

lol @ Badbob...

unfortunately you cant reconcile the fossil record with Darwins theory either- there have had to be numerous "explanations " put forwad to explain the massive gaps in the fossil record (e.g Stephen Goulds "Punctuated Equilibria" among others)

Its like every few years we're told OK we haven't quite explained it (lack of evidence) but we'll try and put together something that fits the evidence. ...
.. Rather than letting the evidence speak for itself..

darwin basically said, we went from 1 to 5 to ten, then dna and chromosones and other fossills filled in some of the missing spaces.

I just read the bible which proves life on earth is 6000 years old and we are all descended from Noah. the beauty behind having no evidence to back this up is that i can all it faith, then it is a virtue and a sign of my strenth.
