Tevez anyone?

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Certainly would have him. The fact that it would leave Fergie seething would be a bonus given that the club would be signing a world class player.

My best mate is a Manc, so sometimes i did watch a few MaNure games and i would say Tevez definitely can play wide but not the traditional winger role, more of a wide forward...same role as Benny .

I agree and that's what makes him an interesting signing. we don't play with wide forward players and if he could match or exceed Kuyt on the left (I think he can) we'd be devasting in attack.

Why not try some variations, we all know that Torres has had some bad games this season as has Stevie, how great would it have been in those games to have been able to bring on someone like Tevez instead or maybe swap Torres and Tevez to give them some rest, or even start them in a 4-4-2. If he wants to come to us we should get him signed, he might very well be the missing piece of the jigsaw for us, together with Barry.

See normal service has been resumed while i have been away

Torres and Gerrard will always be automatic starts due to the fact they are two of the best players in the world and even if off form can produce something out of nothing - yes it would be nice if they could be rested for some games and have back up if they are injured but they will always be two of the first names on the teamsheet .

Yup, agree with that. Anyway, if we do get Tevez, we can certainly use him as a wide player just like we did with Kuyt. Seriously, he's been a wide forward for a lot of games with ManUre. Maybe it would be different if we use the 442 formation, but if we use the 4231 system, maybe it can be done.

No way Tevez gonna dislodge Stevo or Nando from the starting XI.. i guess they can be rotatated at times and if stevo or nando gets injured tevez can easily fill the shoes.. and tevezs pace in the flanks will get us more counterattacking options. For me buy Silva, Tevez/Negredo, Barry, Centre back we are done..

I don't rate him that much, If we could get him for under £20 million then maybe but think of the forwards you could get for his current price tag... Villa, Aguero...
