I think west ham have been quite good , the only thing they have not had is lucky , a 3rd goal and this is surely over , a goal for west ham and its game on again . No slips up , rafa will be telling them to tighten up at the back

We definitely have a harder time keeping the ball and moving it forward effectively through the middle of the park without Xabi.  It also looks a narrow pitch, which helps them close us down more easily.  Still, we're in the driver's seat and hopefully we'll salt the win away early in the second half.  I had kittens when Carra made that slip but had to laugh at what followed. Di Michele's no Arshavin is he? :D

I don't think it has been quite the walk in the park that last week was, but that would be hard to duplicate because of how poor Newcastle were.  We haven't had many chances outside the goals, and West Ham have created/been in some dangerous situations.

2-0. Happy days. I don't think the three points are in the bag yet though.

Definitely not vintage Liverpoool. The most obvious thing for me is how much Xabi's missed. Mascherano/ Lucas or Gerrard need to take on his lynch-pin role and Lucas seems like the obvious candidate but he's been pretty anonymous. I'm still not sure he's going to cut it at Liverpool - his confidence is up now, he's scored in the Premiership but his link up play and distribution still look poor. Underlines how important Xabi is to us - any talk of selling him is MADNESS.

Alan Wiley's done well. West Ham were unlucky - Mascherano clearly fouled Boa Morte and should have booked. Instead we got our second and it looked like Boa Morte was going to get sent off. Apart from that he's got all the major decisions right - clear Penalty on Torres and dive from Di Michele. Good onside call from the linesman for the first as well.

Our pressing play lacked a bit of urgency in the first half.  Hopefully Rafa will bang on about the dangers of comlacency and we'll secure a straight forward 3 points in the second half.

Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road
