now that is an idea i like. can't be bothered doing it myself, like, but if someone else did it i'd have a few hands.

Then they advertised that poker was coming to the casino (I was already a regular from being a blackjack nut). I couldn't wait to get stuck in proper. On the opening night, I got down to the last two tables and it had already gone 1am. The problem was, I was in work dead early and the games were getting dead cagey. I'd had nothing for ages, so I told myself I'd go all in with the next pair of playable cards. When they finally came, I went all in and crashed and burned. I wasn't bothered because I'd be back again, but that was the closest I ever got the the final table. After playing about 5 more tournaments, I noticed that it was always the same people getting down to the last few. I always had a good knowledge of the cards and the percentages but I could never really pick up on people "tells". I read a book by Amarillo Slim once, and he said that if you're sat at a table, look around and see if you can see a mug, if you can't, then it must be you. I sort of talked myself out of poker after that and stopped playing. I migrated back to the blackjack where I was having more success. Poker's still a fun game though.
