This is no different from any year tbh. Rafa will get 25Mil without having to sell but then must sell to buy. Id sell Babel, Lucas, Dossena and Voronin.

To be honest if we get 25Mil for all those combined plus the 25mil Rafa will get anyway he should be able to get some quality players in the required positions.

Babel Voronin will go maybe dossena but cant see lucas going anywhere - from babel and voronin we could prob get close to ten million which will be enouigh to get a decent right back and the 25 mil can get us silva - sorted .

Nah would rather have Tevez. Already proven over here too. We need another top class striker more than we need a midfielder mate. We really need both.

in our formation that brings out the best in torres and gerrard mate we dont need to blow our budget  on another striker and have to change our formation to fit that striker into the team - we did that last summer when i said we shouldnt of done and we wasted 20 million. lets not make the same mistake again - we need a bit more creativity behind torres and alongside gerrard - silva fits that role perfectly - he can play wide left or right or behind the striker - can play as a striker , has loads of pace and skill and can feed in little balls to torres to unlock defences - tevez while a great player would just be another worker who would chip in with goals . we need creativity now .

cant see it mate - if he doesnt go to us or stay and man utd or chelsea or arsenal he will go abroad to madrid .he had a mare at west ham and wont want to go to a club not in europe. money doesnt seem to motivate him.

Really? I would have thought someone like him would want to be playing top class football including European competition. Anyway I guess money can make anyone do anything.

Incidentally what was the outcome of the supposed meeting between our clubs reps and Tevez' agent on Saturday?

Can't see it. Man City are assembling a circus team and there would be far too many competition for places there next season. Tevez is not the sort of guy who will be motivated by money over regular first team football.

So this is the PR backlash from the club to counter ORNs "Rafa will be spending big this summer" statement a few weeks back

Sensible, as selling clubs will be trying to bump up the price  :idea

Nah, Gerrard needs to earn his place and Tevez would give him tough competition. I can even see Gerrard being dropped to bench as a back-up for Tevez.  :p  :D

But seriously, Tevez would be a far better choice than Kuyt on the right side in any of the 4-2-3-1/4-3-3/4-5-1 formations.
