I think Mick that there are people who gets cards easier because of their past, meaning, if a polite and calm poster like Scott had a bad week, and insulted people, he'd get away of it without cards, because you know it's a bad week.

Other posters are more passionate, Bam, who I don't get along well with him, I think he knows 87% of the time to be a good contribution to the forum. I don't agree his contribution, but I think the people appreciate his contribution. Sometimes, he has hot blood, and cards are used with him.

Something similar happens with Lando. So, I think that people getting cards more easily, had to do with their tradition of posting, not if they're anti Rafa or not. Some of them being anti or pro is just circunstancial IMHO.

So in my case was it wrong of me to find the pm out of order. Was it wrong of me to say Hiemdell was out of order for posting it on open forum. When i had already told another person to drop the situation, as the matter was closed in my eyes. Was it wrong of me to say im not a liar and a bully. I have never once asked for anyone to be carded, In my eyes an my eyes alone i found it offensive and i said so, i dont care what greivance anyone else has with others , thats there problem an for them to sort out. But if i find a members post offensive i will tell them. Your completly right though Mick what i find offensive maybe wasnt seen to be offensive by others . So i have learnt a lesson there

I'm not saying you were wrong to be offended Nan, nor am I saying you were wrong to say you weren't a liar and a bully. Everyone is entitled to defend themselves, always have been.

What I'm saying, is there was an argument between two bunches of people. Four on one side of it got banned, and none on the other did. Was the behaviour of the four who got banned worse than the behaviour of some of those on the other side, both in this spat and over recent weeks?

The thread is still there, people can read it for themselves and decide :;):

I would say as an add on that I thought I'd check back, have a wee re-read of it myself to make sure I've not resorted to talking utter sh!t not for the first time. I got as far as the first two pages and decided to leave it there. I'll leave it there here as well, I don't need to add to that.

In fairness I probably should have stayed out of it but what happened was this!
Cig forwarded me a PM that legbarnes had sent her.
I Pmd him and told him to grow a set of balls and stop abusing women,basically to wise up and said it was pathetic.
He came back gobbing off bigtime and telling me he was gonna do this and that and shove the balls he has down my throat!
I Pmd him back and told him he was pathetic,laughed and told him not to PM me again as it would be ignored.Then the scum came back from 2-0 down and everyone went a bit loopy!
Then I got pi'shed later and said a few things I should not have but such is life unfortunately.
As for some being banned and others not.
If you are trying to suggest favouritism Mick for myself for example you are wrong.I've been banned off here more times than anyone(and rightly so) in the past.

Anyway Im sure ace Heimdall and Legbarnes will be back soon.I dont hold any grudges because 95% of the time I am not in a state of mind to be annoyed by anyone online..but sometimes I am..usually a friday night!
Yeah they mostly all post whinges and complaints and can be a bit annoying but the forum needs kunts too!

If they come back i wont be going out of my way to start trouble with either of the 3!

This us and them scenario is obsessive ,its becoming the one underlying factor that is splitting this forum in two .
It is essential in every forum that a modicum of debate should present different perspectives ,but to suggest a degree of bias towards one particular party is surely delusional .
I also view the abusive pms sent to posters as cowardly and beyond contempt ,especially the derogatory and disparaging asides being directed towards women its a disgrace ,wheres the respect ?

It however (and thankyou red for being so frank and open about it btw...) Hell yes. Im in no mood to faff around taking etiquette into account here. Nor am i concerned in the slightest by whoever feels they are being 'spoken to out of turn' - Deal with that.

It has EVERYTHING (caps for effect...) to do with the behaviour that goes on behind the scenes. Behaviour that spans the entire spectra of incredulity on offer from anyone of these characters at any one stage in the proceedings. Yes there were 4 people ejected last night. And i shall elaborate (for the only time - for the record) on a few minutia - for those who are interested.

Things like this:

PM's to the mods and i mean....bucketloads of em - complaining about the slightest, trivial matters you couldn't wish to imagine having any impact whatsoever augmenting any sane persons experience here...

"So and so called me a **** whatchya gonna do about it"
"She said i was a manic ********* - im so hurt and shocked"
"This muppet needs to be banned - he is a 'racially-istcal-bigot...ist"
"....a little more modding perhaps?"
"You're kid deserves better than you"
"You f*cking devil-worshipping kiddyfiddler..."

(last 2 courtesy of one of our charming antipodean friends btw)

"The mods in here are a disgrace...nazi's/heretics/infidels ad infinitum and etcetera"

So on and so forth. There's that many of the damn things.

Now....this is a feature of the forum and one that any mod should expect to be handling without question - this, report post to mod button. Goes with the territory (and ergo: if you dont like the job - step down) Of course....Fine, we answer queries from members who are cheesed off with....other members. No problems with that (unless they become *cough* a l i t t l e bit more personal than yer average PM) if you get me.

Now, remember - this has nothing (or f*ck all) if you prefer - to do with any 'pro's or antis'

You can conveniently arrive at that conclusion, yes. Easy infact. But it really has not. None of the 'longer standing' members have been acting like spoilt brats in quite the same way as our 4 evictees had. Actually, only 3 of them were being childish, petty provocative and aggravating for the sake of it...the 4th was just....well, lets say for simplicity's sake - a minor fly in the ointment that merits a good slap in all honesty. Though he will have to make do with just a cold, dark and unnerving stare for now. He will be able to assimilate that information into his tiny mind and calculate it to be - the work of the devil, im sure.

Anyway, my point.

My point is that all 3 of the rest have gone out of their way to make our jobs as awkward and difficult as is feasibly possible. The mere fact that others were becoming fed up with it was just the straw that broke the camels back as far as im concerned.

As mods (and i will speak for myself now) input and meaningful participation in any footballing debate has had to take a backseat for quite some time now. Due largely to having to constantly quell some virtual shennanigans round almost every corner. There simply isnt any energy left to formulate a decent contribution. Shame that.

In summary:

Yes it is unfair to be seen as biased. And yes, there have been members (who should know better) that have overstepped the mark. One or two of them are sailing extremely close to extinction as we speak...

But, i would rather have them around the place (contributing sensibly when they can) Than a group of whingers who find little else stimulating their sensory existence, save for the absolute euphoria generated by reporting to the mods the fact that so and so told me to f*ck off or somebody else farted too loud in their direction. FFS. The mods are f*cking sick of it. Genuine reports are considered and dealt with for the merit they deserve...but at least 70% of this stuff is total bollox.

Im not saying anything else on this matter. They were suspended, end of. The forum will continue - the standard of discussion can only improve, and my final words are these: Like it or lump it....we are TRYING to keep the place going in the spirit it is intended. To debate about Liverpool Football Club.

Good post. If you re-read the thread though as I've just done and you didn't know the people involved, you'd be at least surprised that Heimdall, Leg Barnes and Ace got banned.

FWIW the one part of your post which I don't agree with is the supposition that as you've been banned many times, that therefore makes the whole thing impartial. You Barry are a classic example of what I was talking about earlier, a regular who is given more leeway (rightly so). There is also the add on that if you were carded every time you called someone a c... you'd have 2,874 cards by now which doesn't do anybody any good. There is also the fact that as you use such vernacular fairly frequently, being called a c... by you is by definition less offensive in many ways to being called a c... by say, nan, which would be a tough one to take as she never uses the word on here. I accept all that, and largely agree with the way things are done.

All that said though, recently you have been granted diplomatic immunity on here for some reason. You have frequently called me a c... without any action being taken for instance (probably because most everyone agrees with you so that may not be the best example), I've seen you launch into mods, any posters who disagree with you and anybody you take a disliking to at the time. I accept and understand that posters such as yourself are in many senses special cases as you kind of define the forum, but equally for me, so do people like Heimdall, Ace and the like.

I absolutely defy anybody to re read that thread and not come to the concluson that a certain section of the forum has a different set of rules to the rest.

I don't see any evidence for 'sides of the fence' being an issue in who gets banned to be honest lads.

The point about more leniency towards longstanding members is valid though. Mostly it is justified, because a lot of us know what each other are like after several years and everyone blows off steam on occasion.

What I will say though is that that heimdall lad took some horrendous abuse on here after the Arsenal game from a longstanding member, some directed at his nationality. It wasn't on. It's things like that I think should be stamped out of this place. The majority of the bickering is harmless.

And in answer to Red's excellent post, we must respectfully agree to differ. I did the modding myself for quite a while when often I was the only mod actually around. That was in the middle of the Sabre/Peewee Stu the Red/Ciggy battles. I know it isn't easy, that's why I gave the fecker up it was doing my head in. Some might say that therefore I should know better then than to pass comment on the situation (although I would point out I didn't start the thread, somebody who I very rarely agree with did). On the flip side of the "he should fecking know better that c..." coin though, is that I have got at least some experience of what doing the job is actually like.

Some time ago, one afternoon (nightime over there) I ran into three people who it's fair to say i wasn't seeing eye to eye with at the time. I got absolute dogs abuse from all three of them. One of them had so frequently followed me around the forum that I had taken the step of blocking his posts, so they were invisible to me, as were any PM's (this following me around appears to have stopped now which is peachy by me I don't mind admitting). Anyways, i had avoided this one poster over a period of time, but during this one exchange, these three posters were so determined to get under the radar that as he was posting, one of the others was quoting it so I woud therefore get to read the post

This went on for some time, and I got called allsorts. I didn't respond in kind, I even told them to calm down as when the mods came on they'd get themselves banned.

Anyways, later on a mod did come on, read what had been going on and took action. He told US (all four of us) that we should "sort ourselves out" as we were ruining the thread.

We must respectfully agree to differ Red on this one.

The Mods perform what is quite often a thankless task ,they cope everday with the bile and regurgitation that we the posters never get to view .
I understand the duress you are constantly under keeping these boards under constraint ,and I appreciate your candidness in your post Red ,you perform a difficult task with little reward and I applaud you fella ,I personally would not have your patience .

Everyone disagrees at times like but at the end of the day its only a forum about LFC!
The results are more important than any bickering or this place,to me anyway.

As for folk always complaining about this and that and the way its run,mods taking sides not being fair,well its always gonna be that way!When there is a difference of opinions there is always gonna be one party or one side offended and left with egg on their face at the conclusion of any dispute!
Sometimes it goes your way,sometimes not.
If anyone is loosing sleep over it,they need to get a life!
