He wont just sign any old ****** just to keep the fans happy ,he will wait untill another of quality comes around for the right price .......

Matt, Woodgate would fall into that category, too dear and too injury prone. He would have been good company for Capt' Kirk in the physio's room.
Rafa's move for Morientes, made much more sense, I think he is better quality and stronger than Baros.

I'm worried by a manager who thinks Woodgate is a good buy, have they all of a sudden invented a cure all tablet for his ailments?

Certainly does seem an odd suggestion. I preferred his reasons for not signing him. Injury prone and too expensive !
