An inspirational display from a team on the cusp of greatness.

Yes it is gutting to come so close and not go through, but I can't moan about anything that happened last night...oh wait, yes I can.

Drogba is a cheating tw@t, and should be banned from the professional game. If he paid the club to play for us I would turn him down. To think that he plays the same game as our lads is just an insult to the game and our club.

Any team that refuses to accept defeat like us last night is destined for success and greatness, and I believe more than ever that we can win the league this year (check's calendar...yes it is April, and I'm saying that), and can go on to dominate for years to come.

Awesome display, and thank you LFC for making me proud to support you...again.

A fitting tribute last night to what will be a very emotional day.

thort it was Ngog's poke that Essien cleared off the line. Thort it was handball at the time, but then I was clutchin at some very elusive straws!!

I don't believe in this bullsiht that United should win tonight so that they have more games to play. They were in similar situation last year too but still did the double. I just don't want any English team to win any games in the CL from now on. If CL can't be ours then no English team deserves it. Barca are worthy of that trophy.

We are LFC, we'll win the league regardless of United's performance in other competitions. :buttrock

You said last week Rafa should give the kids a chance, you even said you would praise Rafa if he dropped Torres and played Eggnog.

I thought N'Gog did a bit more than heimdall was giving him credit for, but the game got so frantic that what he did didn't stick in my mind. Offensively we looked pretty good, defensively we were not good.

I'll be VERY interested to see who Rafa plays as CBs next game, I'm guessing Lucas and Benayoun will make way for Gerrard and Riera so defence is likely to be the focal point.

Arsenal look pretty secure in fourth with some but no great hope of catching up and making third, hopefully that will mean they won't worry too much about losing at Anfield - especially if they win through tonight in the CL and FA Cup. They've still got to play us, Man Utd and Chelsea in the league, face Chelsea in the FA Cup and Man Utd or Man Utd's conquerors in the CL (if they go through) so hopefully they will do enough to secure fourth and focus on winning a cup or two.

Hard to believe that Arsenal have had a shocker of a season, trailing villa at times in their pursuit of fourth, yet they could win two trophies this seaosn and we could end potless. By the time we play them next week they'll have played twice

Ah you're right actually, ok fair play to the lad, that was a fairly decent shot, just know that nando would have slotted it home though.
