Pathetic

Should of been booked for that imo :nod

agree. And then take your pick on all his other dives and he should have been sent off

The difference between us and chelsea fans is , we were signing our hearts out at anfield even though we lost 1-3 , chelsea fans were booing off their players at half time . That is the difference in class between our fans and any others . Chin up , walk on the lads have nothing to be ashamed about it was a good performance without our most important player who you can bet your house on would have won us that game if he had started . Chelsea had a fully fit squad to choose from bar Joe cole and the suspended terry . We have to forget about this defeat and concentrate on the prem nw

Cest la vie.......

The lads did everything I expect from players wearing the red of Liverpool.
We didn't roll over with a whimper and made a real effort out there.
Proud of 'em.

Well done lads...... You've nothing to be ashamed of.

Reroup and concentrate on the  remaining games we have in the league. Finish the season with an almighty bang and who knows? We may well pip the Mancs to the finishing line. If nothing else, we'll give 'em an almighty scare.

I was really proud of the lads tonight. They never gave up, no matter how bad the situation seemed.

well done lads  you put up a great fight but  tbh  it was lost in the 1st leg with shambolic defending...

would be great to go on and win the premiership,  if we beat arsenal we might just do it...  :;):

Exactly what I said to a United supporter that's always having a shot at me whenever LFC drops points or puts on an embarrassing performance. Told him I was proud to support the club I do because I know for a fact United would have given up at half time and so would their supporters. It's that attitude that makes me love Liverpool for more than just its football. Never thought I would smile a few minutes after losing to Chelsea. Feels marvelous

Every real Liverpool fan should wake up this morning and feel very, very proud of this amazing club. A step too far. But, we gave it one almighty go, and any neutral will agree. This is why this club astounds me and is so unique.

The players gave a performance that was almost perfect and truly for the 96 and their families. Their is no embarrassment in what we did last night.

Walk On!

Now like Paisley said, lets go and get our "bread and butter" :D :D :D

anyone else pleasantly surprised by N'Gog.  He didn't do a whole lot but there were a few moments when it looked like he put their defenders under pressure, and then he had that instinctive poke that would have gone in but for a great header off the line from Essien. Plus he scored in limited action against Blackburn, not an impressive goal, but they all count and he did have to out jump the man marking him.  I am not saying that he has blown me away or anything or that we don't need to bring in a more experienced player to cover for Torres, BUT maybe we shouldn't write this kid off just yet.

I'm glad everyone on here is as proud as I am, even the usual suspects are happy with how we showed up last night :D

Last night's performance summed up well my reason for loving this club, guts, grit and determination, they were playing for that badge on their chest and us fans last night, everyone of them did fantastic and deserve the praise they are receiving atm.

I've never been so proud of this side when they've lost

We love you Liverpool, we do!

Manc scum, we're coming for you!
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

It looked even more over when Fernando Torres was taken off for David Ngog with 10 minutes left, yet within 120 seconds of Torres's exit Liverpool had scored twice.

Clearly, Ngog > Torres.  Clearly :D

I woke this mornin surprisinly better than I thought I would, even the missus passed comment. Today outshadows las nite in importance by far, but I'm proud that as a performance it'd make a fittin tribute to our 96 brothers and sisters. We never gave up, never surrendered and fought to the very end, evokin memories of an era gone past and hope for the future of this club. The last coupla months, and certainly since the trip to the theatre of queens, has been a revelation. 2 poor games in that time may yet shape our destiny for this season but for definate we're in good shape and movin in the rite direction.

Now today I'd like to see no arguements on this forum, see us united in our thoughts and respectful of relatives that lost so much 20 years ago. This is not the time for petty comeback comments, and I'm glad to say I've seen none so far today.

Walk On, Walk On, With hope in your heart........

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

I just didn't have the courage to see the game live last night. But as soon as I saw the scoreline this morning and read all the reports and read this thread, I was in tears.  I salute my boys for their effort. I'm really proud of them, they gave their 100%. :bowdown  :buttrock

I also partly blame our exit on Rafa's  (he's still a mastermind and one of the best tactician around) defensive mindset, over cautious play, his stubbornness to delay the substitutions and lack of boldness to make a substitution before his usual 65-70 min. self imposed deadline. After 2-0 at half time we could really have turned the tie on its head. It's not a rant, I'm just disappointed by his stubbornness. I still like him and would like to see him at Anfield for years.

P.S. Just catched some highlights, what a fcuking goal by Fabio.   :buttrock United here we come.

Absolutely spot on. Sets the tone for the rest of the season.

We never gave up and sent a message out to the rest of the EPL - we won't give up. The attitude of the boys was top class. The worrying thing is our defence looked very flaky last night...

Stevie G should hopefully come back in next Tuesday (which is just as well as Torres looked like a fish out of water without his partner in crime!!). I think the best thing that could happen tonight is for Man Utd to go through. The more games they've to play the better.

It's a tough call with Arsenal as they have to play us, Man Utd and Chelsea!!
