But at least have a go. thats all.

yeah, that :pirate

as far as i'm concerned the CL is over really

However we have to play the 2nd leg, so any kind of draw or win with a good performance (and no injuries :suspect: ) shouldn't derail our premier league form... and i would be made up that we'd shown whast we're capable of

:buttrock

Maybe to you its over but for me its very much still on . Its not over till the fat lady sings An i havnt opened my gob yet , .     :nod Ive seen some great Liverpool comebacks over the years St Etienne, An Milan to name just 2 , weve had some great European cup moments , ive been sent to hell an back all in ninty minutes, Dont give up yet , thats what being a fan of this club is about , we still believe when a mountain is put in front of us, We are special, thats all

If only we had prevented the chelsea RB from scoring.... a 1-1 score will be sufficient for us ....cos we can beat chelsea at their place.

Anyway.....making a vow now....if we somehow....can get past chelsea into the semi finals...i will give up sex for 1 year...... hahahhaha

Guus Hiddink: Anfield Victory Has Not Seen Chelsea Past Liverpool

The Dutch tactician says the Blues will not sit back and relax in the Champions League quarter-final second leg...
14 Apr 2009 08:34:07

Chelsea manager Guus Hiddink insists his side have not already qualified for the Champions League semi-final, despite having beaten Liverpool 3-1 at Anfield in the quarter-final first leg.

The Blues host their Premier League rivals on Tuesday evening with the knowledge that the Reds must score at least three goals if they are to progress.

However, the Dutch tactician has insisted that his side must approach the game as they would any other and go in search of a win as that will be the best way of preventing Liverpool attaining victory.

"I don’t like to depend on luck. It gives you an excuse most of the time," Hiddink is quoted as saying by The Sun.

"We’ve prepared very seriously. A lot of people have said, if you win an away game in Europe like we did, then you won’t have any concerns for the second game.

"But we’re not thinking like that. Liverpool are a very good team who play beautiful football, and we’re very aware of that.

"It cannot be a cautious game where nothing happens for an hour then maybe a team takes some risks at the end.

"That’s not in either team’s souls. We have to go for the win at home."

To be honest, I can’t see us progressing on this one. I think we’ll get goals, and I think we’ll win the match, but I think Chelsea will get at least 1.

I’m going for 2-1 to us on the night, losing the leg 3-4 overall.

Fuc'k that train of thought!
If we are sitting 2-1 with 10 minutes left I'd expect us to fight like lions to get the 3rd and bring it to Extra time! :nod

Riera needs to actualy show up tonight. He might as well not been on the pitch in the first leg. I agree though Agger for Skrtel.

And Insua in for Aurelio, he gives us a much better attacking edge and I think he's a better defender as well. Aurelio was fecking awful last week so why risk him again. Also I don't want to see Lucas anywhere near the pitch tonight, that useless pr1ck will be sure to :censored: things up for us in one way or another.

I really can't call the result, it will either be bloody thrilling with us winning it outright or going through on penalties or another asswhooping from Chelsea. The first 10 minutes will be absolutely crucial, we have to score early and really tear into them.
