yeaa... Cole and Cech get red cards in the 1st minute for a double tackle on Alonso... then they decide to put fat frank in goal and its shooting practise from there on... Drogba to break a fingernail and request a substitution and Kalou requests a sub aswell to make sure Drogbas ok... Benitez puts on his #69 jersey and comes on at 60mins for Gerrard and scores a penalty... it ends 3-1 and we miss out on penalties...

thats a very optimistic approach you've adopted there mate

I do believe we have a chance, genuinely. The mere fact they CAN lose 2-0 could be a kinda psychological barrier they have to cross..... picture it.... we score 1, they dont mind, we score a 2nd and things get a little shaky, maybe they miss a couple at 2-0 and the crowd get edgy..... jeez, i'm already celebratin Ngog gettin the 3rd here!!

Seriously, yes it's gonna be hard, but we NEVER win easy (cept satdy, which was a joke as a PL game). Carvalho is an exceptional defender, but sometimes his own tricks catch him out.... an early yellow for him or cole'd undoubtedly work in our favor, and with a bit of pressure  cole can be wound up easy.

We have to be on our game, goes without sayin, an maybe a large slice of luck, but with Rafa's Reds you never count em out til the ref needs a beer.

you know what you never know what might happen in football and thats the beauty of it, we will be going there with one aim and thats to score atleast 3 goals, do they sit back or do they attack and kill the tie at the off, will they have one eye on the semi with Arsenal, will the Bolton game but doubt in there minds, you never know so go there with a positive mental attitude and give it your all and what will be will be.

Let's go for it, play total football, 3-4-3.

                        Reina

         Carragher  Skirtle  Agger

   Gerrard  Mascherano  Alonso  Aurelio

                Kuyt Torres  Reira

Playing Gerrard down the right would also negate the defensive effects of Essien.  Never going to happen, but it would make for a great game.

Fernando Torres has dedicated his double in Saturday's 4-0 rout of Blackburn Rovers to the memory of the 96.
The Spanish hot-shot pointed to the heavens after opening the scoring with a stunning fifth minute volley and later admitted that the goals held extra significance ahead of the 20th anniversary of the Hillsborugh disaster.

"These goals are for the 96 and their families because I know that Saturday was a special day for them with it being the home game closest to the anniversary," said Torres.

"These goals are more special because of the service on Wednesday.

"All the goals are for the fans and the families. On Wednesday we will see all of them and we know it is an important day for them and for all Liverpool supporters.

"It makes Tuesday all the more important. We have to try to do it for the families and the 96."

:bowdown

does anyone else get the feeling that if we get the kick off Stevie will roll the ball to Alonso and he'll have an immediate shot from the half-way line? I have this burning feeling that this will happen - and even though we 99/100 times wouldnt score from it, it would show our intent immediately and whip up the army of travelling Kopites :D come on the reds!
THERE WILL BE LIFE AFTER TORRES:

We need to come out with a high tempo. I don't think we have ever been in this situation in a 2 legged European tie so it will be interesting to see how Rafa approaches this.

Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard is winning his battle to be fit for the Champions League clash with Chelsea as he recovers from a groin injury.

The Reds will also have midfielder Javier Mascherano back from suspension.

Chelsea will be without centre-back and skipper John Terry, who is suspended after being booked during the Blues' 3-1 first-leg victory at Anfield.

Ricardo Carvalho will be joined by Alex in the centre of the Blues defence but Jose Bosingwa (hamstring) is still out.

Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez revealed that Gerrard was responding well to treatment ahead of the match at Stamford Bridge, with the Reds facing a major uphill battle to overturn the 3-1 deficit from the first leg.

"Steven is getting better, he has been working with the physio and will train later today (Monday)," he said.

"We will then discuss the situation with the doctors, but Steven will travel with the party to London and I will make a decision tomorrow (Tuesday).

"We are 3-1 down and we know that everything can change if we have Steven in the side and he plays well."

Chelsea coach Guus Hiddink is hoping his side can continue where they left off at Anfield and maintain their impressive form under his stewardship.

"It is important that we take the momentum gained from winning at Anfield into this game and keep our level of performance up," he said.

"There is a fantastic spirit around this club at the moment - everyone believes in what we can achieve this season and it is exciting to be a part of that.

"But we must not lose our focus for one game or one minute and that means each game is as important as the next one. We have the same aim, which is to try and win all of them."

You should have heard some of the things they were saying after the 1st leg. "You killed your fans ect...". Infact ive not spoken to one of my mates since the first leg as im still really :censored: of the way he was acting after that game. What :censored: me off most about the first leg is that you could actually hear their fans singing as well. The noise level by the home fans was not loud enough.
