Complacency - Familiarity breeds contempt

I think that it was not just the players but the fans as well
Everyone was just going on and on about our amazing form and how a double was possible
I admit I was looking forward to a 3-1 victory for us, but then again, this could not have come at a better time
We're in the final stretch, and this could provide the right impetus to get us focused again
It's that time of the year where schedules are piled up and tired legs are running on empty
Let's keep our fingers crossed for any injuries and hope we get re-focused enough to charge through the final stages
The only True Reds in england...........

RB   CB  CB   LB
         DM
<---CM CM--->
RM              LM
         CF

Have 2 CM covering the wings and DM prob masch breaking up any thing down middle.

Isn't that the formation we played on Wednesday night?

No we played gerrard in behind torres and 2 DM that formation works quite different and is mainly to stop attacks up middle.

Mine is to gang up 3 on 2 on wingers and full backs and would give counter attacks op's if implemented right.

Oh yeah! I didn't look at it properly. That is a VERY defensive formation though isn't it? And if you're assigning two of your center-middies responsibility for the wings you are essentially turning them into wingers aren't you? Or you are asking Masch to deal with a 2 on 1 in the middle. That formation might stop other teams but I don't see us scoring too many, at least not with the wide players currently at the club.

Well idea of this tactic is in defence stage they do this depending on what side of the pitch the ball is on

FB    CB    CB    FB

<---CM  CM

<---   Say ball is here

The CM on that side will come over and cover and other CM will play a 2nd DM with masch or who ever is doing that job to protect the passes to middle.

In this case you should have 3 on 2 since they will have 2 players useing wing area there winger and FB.

Now once defence team gets ball and there FB and winger is in attack posistion its up to our stiker to make runs up that channel for quick counter then the rest of midfield will make runs into the middle for options for quick passes.

Works something like that , good counter for 4-3-3 I think.

I dont think its got anything to do with complaceny I am a firm believer in "If your names on it, its on it" Noway should we have won it in 2005 with that team we had, but we should have won it 2007. Weird hey?

Ive said the last few months that I think its Barca's but maybe chelsea's name is on it?

Tha manc tw@ts wont win it and you can quote me on that.
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
