you are making something out of nothing, what we was talking about that now Rafa has a new contract it will cost the club money to get rid of him if they feel he dont get the results they are looking for now he has a new contract.

i was not saying sack Rafa due to last nights game, you all know i think he is a better CL manager than a prem manager but right now he doing very well in the prem and we still have a good chance to win it, but he keeps having a pop at other mangers and trying to play mind games and all they have done so far is to bite him on the bum.

But why are you even talking about the board sacking him at the end of the season - its not going to happen in a million years is it so there is no point mentioning it .

Keeps ahving a pop at other managers ??? he didnt have a pop at hiddink ?? he mentioned the fact that man utd would prefer we won last night so we wouldnt be able to solely concentrate on the prem and to keep up our challenge ?! how is that having a pop at the manager ? it all seems perfect sense to me ??

Same old sh!te trotted out after a defeat, we had a bad day at the office if we can put 4 past the Mancs and Real Madrid we can certainly score 3 at Stamford Bridge.

Never write the redmen off.

Lynds Lucas is pants tho  :D

He should never be in the midfield, he get's spanked
when he's got good opponents around him.

Ok guys lets look at what Lakes is saying - i dont think he has actually said he wants him sacked more along the lines that he shouldnt of been given a new contract during the season in case results where poor and the board wanted him sacked it would cost them a fortune in pay off .

IF you can keep your head when all about you
Are losing theirs and blaming it on someone else,
If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
But make allowance for their doubting too;
If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
Or being lied about, don't deal in lies,
Or being hated, don't give way to hating,
And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise:

If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster
And treat those two impostors just the same;
If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken,
And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools:

If you can make one heap of all your winnings
And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
And lose, and start again at your beginnings
And never breathe a word about your loss;
If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
To serve your turn long after they are gone,
And so hold on when there is nothing in you
Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!'

If you can talk with crowds and keep your faith,
' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch,
if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you,
If all men count with you, but none too much;
If you can fill the unforgiving match
With ninety minutes worth of distance run,
Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
And - which is more - you'll be a Red, my son!
There is no-one anywhere in the world at any stage who is any bigger or any better than this football club.

this is all i put mate

"Rafa should keep his gob shut and just get on with his job, if we do get knocked out and dont win the prem and end up 3rd i still think Rafa will have a problem keeping his job."

and yes i think if we end up 3rd there will be a lot of calls for him to go.

as i say that all i put at the end of a long post. I did not say sack Rafa, from that post i was aked if it would cost the club money to sack him, i said yes and that it was always going to be the problem with giving him a new contract before the end of the year.

once again i did not say sack him.

dont worry lakes I actually read what you wrote rather than just assumed what you wrote and went into a tirade against you. I agree that the contract should have come at the end of the season and that's not based on last nights result either.

last night was a shocker, I think people forget because we had a few excellent results but it was only one month ago that borough beat us so are those good results a reverse bliiiiiiip so to speak, time will tell. I hope last night was a one off and we have really turned the mythical corner, i just hope confidence isn't bashed by our awful performance last night

why is he going to have a problem keeping his job ? because people on a forum will think thats not a good enough finish ? Rafa will have no problems keeping his job during the summer .

Bet he wont, and who will the calls be from you and the rest of the Anti Rafa mob?

For you to even be talking like this it means you want him gone. And its been brought on because of last nights defeat plain and simple.

well it doesnt matter what we think, its what the owners think, its what possibly new owners will think. if we win nothing this season  its 3 seasons without a trophy, they may see any progress made as not enough, the power balance might shift from hicks to gillett and we all know gillett wants him out, many things can happen and all lakes said is it will be expensive now to get rid of rafa. he never said lets sack him
