When did I ever say I didn't see the goals of the game? I was at a pub. I think you got me confused with someone else.

Rafa-Dodd wrote:3-1 did not flatter them. We just weren't at the races and the quick double fire of goals silenced the crowd.

Gerrard on the right for the return leg, Yossi in the middle and Babel on the left. Last night the system didn't work. The only players who got time on the ball was Aurelio, Lucas and Arbeloa.

What annoyed me most is that for the past 4 years they have always been the better team, this year we are the better team imo and that happens ?!?!

Oh well, onwards and upwards.

Welcome back lid.

Never been a big fan, would rather see Agger alongside Carra. I think too many are impressed (easily) by Skrtel's "style", not that Agger would have necessarily made any difference since we still have lingering problems from set-pieces even if we haven't always been punished in the past. And we remain pretty toothless from our own, nothing much new there

We can still win this tie. Also this result will take the pressure of us. We play better when we are not favourates.

Hello mate. I know, it was soul destroying.

On a side note did anyone see Torres winding Ashley Cole up and John Terry every time the play was stopped in the second half. It started when Aurelio got booked for tackling Kalou. He was on the half way line and was patting Terry on the back of the head and winding him up. Cole came over to kick off and Torres put his hands behind his back and was making out Cole had a free shot. Then walked into him and this carried on for about 20 mins everytime it went out. Terry kept moaning to the linesman.

I was :censored: pisching myself.

I was convinced he was German, the way he let ballack off all first half.

But he was Danish, the prick

I noticed Torres also refused to shake Ivanovic's hands after the game. Or maybe he just didn't notice him there. He must have been gutted, everyone was.

Good to see you back Rafa Dodd.

We got of to such a good start I don't understand why we didn't press on more of the same. Anyway I think we need to bounce back with a good result on the weekend if we are to even think about the return leg. Terry is out of the 2nd leg and we have won at utd so this is well within our capabilities.

well i could not sleep last night, might sound silly but i could not rest as i did not understand how we got it so wrong so i had to put it back on sky+.

when we got the goal (apart from us almost letting them right back in) we carried on pushing for 5 mins, then we started to sit back, keeping the ball in our own half, did not get any players up the park.

Aurelio did not have the best of games and twice was found out when trying to hold the ball ,Lucas seemed to be playing his own game of football and if you get the chance have a look at the game again and see the look on Gerrard and Carragher when he takes that shot that almost left the ground.
Lucas passing is very poor but in fact last night all our passing was poor, I think Rafa got it wrong in getting us to try and hold the ball up but the big problem last night was how Gerrard was taken out of the game.

Gerrard could have been given free will so he could shake off his marker, this could have got him back in the game, but when he tried to move he gets told to hold back by Rafa (think thats on 56 min)

its very clear Rafa was looking for a 1-0 win last night and then when it got to 1-1 he still was trying to hold it, the sad thing was Chelsea had come for the win and we was not ready for that.

there is no way Lucas should have startedand for anyone who askes "who would i play there instead" well after tonight anyone, Babel and Benayoun would have done a better job in that spot and its not even their best place, :censored: it even Ngog would have done better there.

I dont understand why Rafa did not change his plan at half time as it was clear it was not working, we need to sort out the man marking of Gerrard as other teams are now going to try this.

Zonal marking did not work last night, why, easy, Chelsea did their homework on it and they had the players that could pull it off, i dont think other teams in the prem could undo our marking like that but yet again when it did not work Rafa dd not put the change in place to stop ti.

so what now

well we are LIVERPOOL so there is always a chance that we could win 0-3, but what i fear most is that its going to hurt the mind set of the players in the prem and help Man U's players mind set.

once again the night before a big game Rafa comes out and has a pop at Man U manager and then only for us to go and look silly in the game.

Rafa should keep his gob shut and just get on with his job, if we do get knocked out and dont win the prem and end up 3rd i still think Rafa will have a problem keeping his job.

Surely if they sacked him he would end up with a massive payoff ala Houllier.
