LIVERPOOL VS CHELSEA - 7.45 wed 8th april 2009

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby Greavesie » Wed Apr 08, 2009 10:25 pm

hopefully chelsea will show complacency next week, we seem to have been ok when the oppo thought they had the job done

a certain 4:1 springs to mind
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Doubt it. Hiddink is a solid tactician.

Indeed, he needs to take up a spot on the bench alongside the best player in the world. lolz.

It was a good game from you lot and you deserve it but seriously there is no need to be acting like you are. I think you will find most if not all Liverpool fans will admit the result was spot on tonight so no need to lower yourself to this level.

Yeah, I don't usually do it. Just for you lot though  :hearts

Anyway, tomorrow I think i'll be tasting success in my spit.

Well enjoy it mate but rememeber it takes a lot to win this trophey and good luck to you if you do it but there is still a long way to go yet.

We were nothing without Gerrard pulling the strings, Agger should be playing now is is fit again and it showed how much we need to buy wingers that run at defences.

wouldnt care Man U fan but you're probably one of them that leaves the empty seat before the end of a match, none of your lot are ever there in the nintieth, even Villa at the weekend, 80 mins in. You call that support?

anyway guys lets just hold our hands up and just say we got a good beating from the better team on the night - there players were better than us on the night - they had gerrard sorted and ran us ragged - no single player is to blame and no system is to blame - just got beaten by the better team .

I really don't know why Skrtel is picked over Agger. Agger is twice the defender Skrtel will ever be. Skrtel is big thats it but he is clumsy at times and doesn't even have the right level of awarness at others. He didn't even see Ivanovic coming for the first he was just jumping in plain air for no reason.

Also Lucas is such an inept player Gerrard had to play deeper just to carry him. From there he was not able to get forward and bring in Torres so it is no wonder we were unable to do anything.

well im sure everyone will concentrate on how great chelsea were instead of how poor we were, which is opposite of when we win matches like this.......and rightly so.

we should have taken the momentum we got from the early goal and try and make sure chelsea never gotback in the game. but bad day at the office and thats all it was.....we gave away two cheap goals and lapsed in concentration for the third, :censored: happens. keep the pressure on in the title chase and make chelsea work for their place in the semi's is all we can do. and :censored: it thats not too much to ask...
