Well, that's a good argument. Well done.   :;):

Look, it's very simple. With man marking, you're given a man to pick up, or failing that you choose a man to mark on the fly.

With zonal marking, your given a zone to mark and watch whatever player (or players) enter that zone. Once they leave that zone, it becomes someone elses responsibility.

There are no garruntees with any system But, to me, man marking is the far superior system in that respect. Man for man. No "zones" involved.

yet it has been proved by stats that teams that employ zonal marking have better defensive records ? go figure

I know but they're pr!cks its hard to resist :D

I'm gonna stop now I promise
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

When you walk through a storm hold your head up high,
And don't be afraid of the dark.
At the end of a storm is a golden sky
And the sweet silver song of a lark.

Walk on through the wind,
Walk on through the rain,
Tho' your dreams be tossed and blown.
Walk on, walk on with hope in your heart,
And you'll never walk alone,
You'll never walk alone!

with man marking, u follow/mark certain player whenever the ball is pass to him to neutralize him. thats how essien neutralize gerrard.

with zonal marking, the player have to attack/go for the ball coming in to their zone....not marking the player whose come to their zone...it is the ball....thats how chelski 2nd goal. gerrard should attack the ball.

this is what i understand with these two system.

It will probably be Rafas toughest turn around in a CL match short of Istanbul but we can do it. However the team needs to wake up. And Skrtel needs a spell on the bench the big lurch,

Indeed, he needs to take up a spot on the bench alongside the best player in the world. lolz.

It was a good game from you lot and you deserve it but seriously there is no need to be acting like you are. I think you will find most if not all Liverpool fans will admit the result was spot on tonight so no need to lower yourself to this level.
