I dunno mate - I dont buy into the rotation/rest thing.

At this stage of the season they should be up for the big games. I know you're not saying they wont be up for it,
but Im sure they can find the energy.

I mean, it's only 90 minutes every 3/4 days isn't it?

But more importantly, will we beat Blackpool?

Bollox - I thought this was the Chelsea thread..... I shall resume my boycott.

Hmm yeah we're going to have to give it our all in every single match now though if we want to win them all, constantly pushing for the goal throughout the whole match like we did at fulham, we cant afford to do any sitting back like we have earlier in the season and ended up drawing.

We'll also have to play to our usual champions league best to beat chelsea, followed by more tough CL games, all these games with our full strength team too. Surely its going to put a hell of a strain on them eventually. I hope the squad is fit enough these days to keep up with these demands

I just hope we don't end up with any injuries, imagine Torres or Gerrard going down now, disaster

Saying this though the mancs have even more matches than us and much less confidence and belief than us so lets see how they get on, 8 league losses will do me  :D

Judge starts this thread :D  :D  (five pages of shyte) ... Anyhow we should be capable of beating blackburn and i suspect we will rotate aswel. Blackburn are playing fairly shyte this season. They have scored quite a few goals away but have conceded alot. As easy as a win it should be i dont think it will be a walkover because at this time of the season the lower sides who are facing the prospect of relegation tend to play matches with full force. Wont be as simple as we think.

Blackburn beat spurs last fixture and will have a full weeks break prior to this match. contrast to us we will play a mighty match at home in the champs league and face blackburn after only 3 days. This is the time when you want a good squad and quality players to choose from. Just hope we could build a quick lead against chelsea so we could sub gerrad and torres.

As for blackburn i could see rafa probably giving a start to benny, agger, babel.  Prediction --------------- 2-0 liverpool gerrard, benny!

Match build up and post match talk in here please

Liverpool entertain one of the founder members of the football league this Saturday at Anfield, namely Balckburn Rovers.

Liverpool are on a real charge of late and found form at the right time. Blackburn are indifferent, and one would expect Liverpool to crush them convincely. However, take nothig for granted, this is top flight football, and nothing is guaranteed.

Nonetheless, i predict a 3 nil win for the reds.

why is there so much bull whether i started this thread or not, does it Fu*king matter - the answer is NO

get on with the match talk, and will the thread spoilers please stop it, its getting boring now!!
let me make it clear that those who choose to treat this as gen chat, have no interest in the team at all. it is not my doing but there own. perhaps if people just talk football in here, and not continue on the line of someone else shouldda opened it, then we can move on!! dickheads

=============================================

so we can draw a line under it and get on with healthy debate.

=============================================

Therefore, even after the chelsea game i believe that liverpool will still have the momentum to get a significant win against Blackburn  :nod

not sure why but i can see us giving them a goal but us winning 3-1 gerrard torres and bennie

the last few games we have been pushing and pushing for the goals and i like it and long may it continue

i love us playing this kind of football, for the sake of the posts and cross bar we could have won on sat by 4 or 5 goals ( again ) yes i know it ended with us being a little lucky with getting the goal in extra time but we should have been long gone by then.

if we play in the same vain i think we will get in the goals again and i just don't see blackburn being able to stop us they are not great defensively imo and they will just be lumping it up front which are defence should deal with no problem

is that ok judge :p

Judge, provided we play the best eleven tomorrow, with the Gerrards, Alonsos, Mascheranos, Torres... would you rest any of them against Blackburn at all considering they've played quite a lot of games this week?

Also, I don't recall what's your stance in the Alonso-Mascherano axis, do you think it's too negative? Do you think it's a proper partnership to face the smaller teams?

Now that I think of it, I don't recall your opinion on Gerrards current position. Do you like him there? should be that his definitive position for the rest of his career? or should we sign up a man to partner Torres and get back Gerrard to the CM position?

Would you give a match to Agger against Blackburn?

Yeh, let's discuss football Judge, it will be fun (I couldn't agree more your last post)

:)

would give Agger a match with blackburn and possibly a run out v chelsea.

i think alonso maybe the better option with chelsea, as masch may be wound up by terry, and we do know that masch can be volatile to such provocation

Yep, but as several mates mentioned already a few times, Mascherano can't play the Chelsea game, he's suspended. So there are not problems of selection there.

I'd perhaps start Mascherano and Lucas against Blackburn, and use Alonso as a sub just in case he's needed (hopefully not). It's already been tried a couple of times when Alonso was coming from injury and he did know to come from the bench and plug into the game quick.

The problem is Torres. We can't rest him. But he's human.

Crucial that we pick ourselves up from the heavy loss against chelsea and get back on track in the league.. Must win this one just as important as matches in the champs league.. common red men get your act together and show all we are not going declining form like mannure.

christ this cant come soom enough for me
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road
