Numbers? You mean how much would they cost?

I reckon

SWP - 15Mil
Joaquin - 11Mil although Sabre/Alex will give a better price for him as that's just an estimate.

The rest should be below or around 10Mil except Rodney as he is still very young. Only 19 I think.

There is also Toni Kroos who already has 2 ahead of him at Bayern but he is a good player. One of Germanys best young players.

Its good news that kuyt has signed an extension and im glad we will have a hard working player with us next season and beyond. Yes can be be a bit cack at times but still i rate him as a good squad player.
Priority is to get a class right mid player next season and considering the amount of games we will be playing kuyt will get a runaround next season for sure. Doubt he will be as many games as he has this season unless rafa keep him on a permanant basis on the right!

no mate, realistically we should be comparing cost and output...

goals & assists....

:censored: that mate who do I look like Ozwat?  :D

Don't worry we all agree there are better options than Kuyt out there but he works hard and he pitches in. Considering we are still not able to spend up in the top bracket so much id say it's good we have him.

So where are your numbers then? Don't demand that people disprove something which you can't prove yourself!  :no

I've stated before that I admire Kuyt' work ethic and his energy but technically he is a joke, the only thing he is good at is getting into position to score a goal but then alas he usually finds some inventive way to feck it up.

if we've got 50m to spare , let's buy that :censored: to replace the diggler  :bowdown

:D

urs has to be the funniest of them all... if you think Kuyt is the 2nd best right winger in the world.... u gotta be on some strong sh!t pal...

i kinda like Kuyt now... i mean i still think hes an average player on a good day but for some funny reason im kinda glad hes sticking around...

heimdall , it's dead simple  - his goals/assists & contribution is at least as good as anyone else in his position in the premier league... (ronaldo aside)

and none of the players mentioned playing in foreign leagues can compare

well... see iv come up with this theory right... the only reason Kuyt finds himself in good scoring positions is because all he does for 90mins every game is run around closing down people and chasing the ball like a mad dog on a mission... every now and then it falls his way and he just blasts it towards the man wearing the different color jersey...  :p

seriopusly though hes done okay this season in terms of goals so any stick he gets from me is probably undeserved... cant help it though because as you say technically hes a joke imo...
when was the last time he went past a defender and put in a cross like normal wingers do ? or the last time he placed a goal or ran the channel well ? end of the day he scored a few and all credit to him for that... good for him getting the contract and all...  :glare:

Kuyt is made to look ok by having Stevie, Nando and Riera around him. Put him in a team like Wigan and he would be completely anonymous.
In any case he's supposed to be a striker isn't he and :censored: for bal control and skill he has to be the worst player in the first team, well maybe there's some competition from Lucas.  :D

Last season Kuyt was :censored: outside of Europe this season he has contributed a lot to our title challenge so as long as he keeps it up, feck it keep him at RM.  If he can continually put out seasons like this one and his first at Liverpool he can stay, last season he was horrible though imo.  Yeah he scored a lot in the CL but that ultimately got us nothin, need him to be consistent in the league and he has been better this season.

When he's on form he contributes A LOT but when he isn't, boy is he painful to watch aside form him Babel is probably the most frustrating player on the team at times.  Kuyt>Babel though.. Anyway congratulations on the contract it is well deserved and hope he can continue to perform.

and why are you complaining about this?   :)

I know you were bieng sarcastic there but with some amount of earnesty in that comment. But seriously I would rather have a player who does that than a player who's lazy to even track back the ball he loses.

Someone on here said what does he contribute to the team besides running around and Cisse who played in that position scored more goals or something along that line. I think that's a completely ridiculous statement. I'd rather have Kuyt than Cisse at that position any time of the day. Kuyt has so much stamina, he tracks back the opponents' winger, pressure him to lose the ball together with arbeloa, can mount a counter attack. When the team is being pushed back by good opponent teams, and everyone was being pressured back, Kuyt is a breath of fresh air. He is the one who's consistently putting in good performances. You know what to expect if he's on the pitch. He also puts in decent crosses where other players have scored from or benefited from. When the ball seem to be rolling out to the touchline Kuyt would chase it and have the presence of mind to pull it back into the box. On top of that he gets into the box and score some vital goals. I just don't understand why some people don't see his contributions. I'm not at all surprised Rafa likes Kuyt alot cause he can see his contributions more than anyone. I'm not saying I'm Kuyt's biggest fan and I know his weaknesses but surely this is not the time to be criticising Kuyt when he's time and again scored very important goals and given his 150% to the badge. He's not the best player by far in the team, Gerrard is at the moment. But besides Gerrard and Torres and possibly Xabi, I think that he has contributed the most because of his consistency.

mmm... i just saw ur cig... u sure ur not Kuyt's biggest fan :suspect:  ... and i think you have Kuyt mixed up with Luis Figo there mate... ... besides the tracking back part and the working hard ... i dont see where all the "has the presence of mind to put crosses in the box" talk comes from... havent seen it myself ... its quite simple really... he cant dribble, lacks creativity, he doesnt put crosses in.. he tracks back very well and scores some goals...

hes a right winger.. his job isnt/ should be tracking back and chasing opposition players around... the cisse thing i just dont get... he played the same role and scored more.. why wouldnt you take him? because he doesnt track back ? does Ronaldo, or any other winger in world football for all that matter track back as much as Kuyt does ?!

anyways i have to agree hes done his fair share this season and all credit to the guy for all hes done, really... but i think we could, and indeed should do better for seasons to come..

oh one more thing.. can mount a counter attack ? seriously ? from what iv seen hes always the one slowing things down and screwing up some good counter attack situations... anyways...

Nope I'm not his biggest fan... I'm Torres' biggest fan now... thinking about putting his name and number on ther jersey that i recently bought...  :D ... and we'll just have to agree to disagree on our opinions of kuyt...

Btw the sig was a response to someone else's sig that says "Dirk Kuyt is cack"  :D ... I like to defend the underdogs...
