"...only thing that Garcia did that was constructive was score the goal that was disallowed."

Is that really the case? granted his touches were not all there yet, he got stuck in and the hunger was evident. Rafa has been going on about how versatile and intelligent he is... and i think his ability to slot in anywhere up the park/ drift/ drop deep showed against BW. Hopefully some of his enthusiasm will rub off Harry in training heh. (harry can't seem to go past potato sacks at the moment)

Josemi reminds me of rigobert song don't ask me why. i hope i'm wrong haha

There's no doubt Alonso's presence will be felt sooner or later. Just have the feeling that Rafa is trying to create a baraja-albeda kind of partnership here perhaps. Be it or be it not, we can't go wrong with 2 good players orchestrating our team can we? :)

Having fed off the Cisse hype for the past 2 years, I almost WANT to believe that he's our answer in front of goal. And it's true, he's raw but fast and strong. but there's one thing that's on the back of my mind.. his link-up with baros. they don't strike me to be on the same wavelength as of yet do they? Both just as selfish? Need time to gel? I hope it's the latter... but it's worrying when i see them dropping their heads and charging into defences blindly.

I've supported Valencia since the days of adrian ille and claudio lopez so it's a little ironic to see the manager of my 2nd fav. club leave for my 1st. hmm.. anyway, i really believe that he has what it takes to bring LFC to the next level so let's give him ti,me. At least more than 2 months!

Come on, those who are already slamming him are obviously impatient fools. I'd rather see some good foundation laid for a dynasty rather than some flash in the pan results. :p

Bring on WBA!

I don't think Garcia had a great debut and he looked like a little boy lost in the first 50 minutes but as they game wore on he got more into the pace of it and while he didn't do anything drastic (although his goal should have stood) it was encouraging to see him get himself into good positions.

i have to agree with your comments about Garcia, i was very surprised to read how many forum members were prasing his performance against Bolton, he clearly wasnt ready for the rough, aggressive style of play employed by bolton, in spain players are allowed more time on the ball and it was clear that Garcia expected this, however he did get better as the match wore on and i think he will prove to be an exellent player in time, but saturdays performance wasnt a good one

He strikes me as a fella with loads of potential but I'm hoping he has the attitude to match that ability.

i thought garcia's movement was good off the ball and he showed some good touches. however the number of times he gave the ball away was frightening. :(

he'll still be a class act though! :)

I think XA, Garcia and Josemi had all shown they have what it takes to become good EPL players. Its easier for Josemi to settle in because of his position. He only needed to concentrate on defense and everything else is a bonus. But as for XA and Garcia, people are expecting great things from them. XA in particular and you can see he was a bit nervous in the bolton game. As for Garcia, he looks like a typical Spanish player. He was overwhelmed by the tight and rough defense from Bolton but he started to show signs of improvement in the second half. I think if this is the worse they can play, just think of how good they can be if they know the team and the league. Hopefully, we can see Nunez play as well.

You are right, you must have been watching a different game.  If Milan Baros had played with his head up insyead of looking at his boots as he always does he would have seen Garcia on a number of occasions in an easy scoring position after making a genius run into the box.

I hope Cisse comes good although if I am honest I haven't seen much that makes me think he is the one who is going to score the goals Michael Owen scored.
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Josemi in my opinion just loks like the type of player who isnt amazing but he'll never have a bad game cos he seems to have the right back position so sussed out.i'm really surprised at how capable he looks already. will be dead consistent and good in the champs league i reckon.
Alonso, without doin anything special on sunday, looked very assured and confident, and his class did seem to ooze now and then. i think he will be amazing but will take more time than Josemi to settle in the prem.
Garcia looks hit and miss. he struck me as the type of player that can turn it on in one game but maybe be quiet in the next. the lad obviously has ability, again it came through in glimpses-i think he's probably more skilful than anyone in the squad bar harry, not sure how he'll develop in the prem.its far too early to say and i will give these players time.

Cisse- i too have this gut-feeling he's not whats cracked up to be. again time will tell. i feel confident in Josemi and Alonso already though.
its not the chilli sauce on kebabs that give you ring-sting, its the actual meat. had one without chilli, and still had ring-sting. the chilli's only there to mask the nonsense they stuff inside that bread.
