CL QF DRAW THREAD - Friday 20th March 11.00 GMT

Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby supersub » Thu Mar 19, 2009 3:32 pm

English teams have dominated proceedings for the last 4 years or so, much to the obvoius displeasure of Platini....

In light of the fact that 4 teams are present again in the quarter finals, the french tw.at will be sh.itting his pants if the same pattern occurred and 2 teams from England were to grace the final.

I wouldn't be surprised if the draw came out as follows:

Man U     v Liverpool
Arsenal    v  Chelsea

Winners to play each other in the 1st Semi

Barcelona        v  Porto
Bayern Munich  v  Villareal

Winners to play each other in the 2nd Semi

Fix.......UEFA.....Platini.........no surely not :nod
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW SHINING AT THE END OF EVERY DAY.
THERE'S A GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL TOMORROW AND TOMORROW IS JUST A DREAM AWAY.

Was it last year that the actual draw was 'predicted' - leaked about 90 mins before the draw itself was made. Turned out to be spot on as well....  :glare:

Of course in rehearsal we will draw FC Porto - in the 'real' *cough* draw...it will of course be an English side.

Wouldn't mind Bayern meself - not had a German side for a while. Quite partial to a bit of 'oompah-sausage'n'ale' jiggery-pokery!

Allianz looks stunning as well - not that i'd be there like  :D   :(

I think we need to curl expecations a bit here. I see a lot of people on the boards almost assuming that we are already in the finals if not already lifting the cup. There are a lot of good teams out there and its possible that we could lose to any of them. I personally will be grateful for any more wins in the CL this season and am already happy with the win over Madrid.

I'd agree that Joe. I have a lot confidence in this team, and I enjoy the victories like the Madrid one a lot, but we can't forget that Atletico gave us a match at Anfield for instance, or that Manchester struggled with Villarreal. You must fear nobody, but you can't lose the respect to the opposition

UEFA would love it and we are well equipt to take them on

1)Imagine doing the double over them and putting them out of Europe!

2)Then really really imagine the slim chance their scummy wheels fall off and wee nick the title from under their managers potholed snout as well!

Number 1 would be great,2 would be hard to put into words!

:D

All he has to do is put a nick or scratch in the English club balls and tell the twát pulling the balls out to takes the nicks out together.

Or no matter what the number just announce 'Arsenal' against 'Chelsea' !! Why try to hide it??!!
