Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

Postby GYBS » Tue Mar 17, 2009 4:32 pm

Anyway as i was saying - Evans tried his best to get liverpool playing decent football and in the whole he did well at certain times but he was unfortunate to take over from souness and had to try and drag the club back up but failed to look at the defending where as GH came in and looked at that as a priority and made us solid and dragged us back up to the top level again and in terms of training and fitness and diet and academy dragged the club into the 21st century . while he final two years werent that great the years before were superb and it was only a great arsenal team that stopped us winning the title.

Be fair, they have released a record number of DVDs under Smeegel, celebrating such magnificent achievements as finishing 7th! ("the magnificent seventh" was it? ) ???

Always makes me laugh when they talk about having been massive in the 80s, apart from 1984/85 to 1986/87 when they won TWO league titles and finished 2nd inbetween, they haven't finished in the top three since 1977/78. So that's two league titles, runners-up once and three cups in THIRTY years - soon to be 31. Sides like Boro, Leicester, Pompey and  Blackburn have won cups they last won a cup.

That's probably guaranteed they'll win the FA Cup now, well at least the mancs won't win everything if so
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
