This manager's record speaks for itself.

I'd be more worried about my manager if I was a manc scum supporter. That old fool's well past his use by date.

Charwell

The reference to Hilter was tongue in cheek but that seems to have been lost in the translation to you and it was also meant to be controversial. The intention to make people think about what they want from Raf and when.

The point that was being made was that its not unkown for "the managers image to cloud the results" and you only have to look to Houlier for that (in the last couple of years anyway and I include myself in that).

Its also not unkown for managers to not travel well, they maybe stars in their own country but what about the UK and the culture difference.

You may not be aware that I consider your behaviour to be bullying and I can refer you to a stopbullying web site if it would help. .Bully on Line

The idea behind the posting was to express my views at the time, I didn't ever state I was right and everyone else was wrong. I actually want to be wrong in this instance but I need healthy debate to be persuaded of that and not abusive comment.

I also note you read my posting but when it comes to yours I dont even bother.

To those who responded thanks for the input I appreciate the time you spent for letting me share your views. The intention of the posting was to take people out of their comfort zone, where they think they have solved the problem and perhaps I shouldn't have shared my own concerns but then this forum is all about debate no matter how controversial it maybe.

And to those with abusive comments, well how sad as I dont mind those if they are funny but they weren't.My Webpage

Funniest post I have ever read...  Man, you should be on the fringe festival in Edinburgh!!!!

Couple of points, On Sunday Half of our midfield, other wise known as the engine room, because it drives the team forward (and backwards) had never played together.  and it looked like that!

Give them more than 90 minutes before we give up on them all.

I thought Alonso looked a little like somone who has been built u[ as the next best thing and maybe strugglked a little, but had a great touch and maaybe tried a little too hard sometime, but Garcia was brilliant.  I think Raffa has bought wisely but it will take possibly a couple of months for it all to gel.  Please don't expect to win the title yet.  We may even be a little further down the table.  Next season is the important one!!
Our job is simple, to support the club, not just parts of the club that are easy to support, but every one who plays a part, that includes ALL players.  We are stronger when we are all walking in the same direction. Walk On

Good
We need a wake up call fans and players

He aint gonna turn us into a world beating team overnight but he will improve the team

Its still August and any talk of new manager is insane to be honest Im shocked at Newcastle its not as if theyve been really terrible and the board sold their best defender

First game for the new guys as well

Good post I thought RB is not the second coming but he is the first to admit this
I dont want rid of him as I genuinely believe he will turn things around and every player in the squad yes including SG need a wake up call asap

I know this isn't going to go down well with some of the peeps in the forum but I have serious concerns as to the managers decisions. Also I'm trying to take the emotion out of the analysis and looking at the hard facts.

After the Bolton game the manager is talking about Hypia being a big loss but what has this to do with the game, unless the quote has been taken out of context.

The goal was scored by a low cross.

The other issue is that he says they need to tighten up the defence so does this mean the attack is OK when the number of shots we had on target wouldnt fit half the fingers on me left hand.

What we need is comments about how he plans to solve the mid field and the attack especially when the 2 strikers play as 2 strikers without any link up and we still play the long ball up the middle for half of our attacks.

Kindaconfused, in response to your original post, i thought you were gonna talk about the fact the Rafa seems to be making large changes to the team/ squad, from game to game, as though he cant make his mind up what to do.

i mean, making five changes from the gratz game for the bolton game, playing FIVE in midfield, playing diao for the gratz game instead of hamann, taking off cisse and baros in a game. So far I think he has changed it too much.

you aint gonna find out your best 11 by doing a 'Sven Erickson'

I doubt too there was any need to play Hamann in Midfield, as well as alonso and garcia in midfield, and stevie G supporting baros.

I bet you had Raffa had his last team (Valencia) for the Bolton match, he would have won. It can't be the manager. Time will improve things.

You're certainly entitled to your opinion, but I think its very premature to start talking about failure. Lets look at the facts... In a premier league with the same quality of teams as a few years ago, we'd still think its a bit of a stretch to consider winning the league in Rafa's first season. However, when you consider that we're now competing with an Arsenal team who look absolutely unstoppable and a Chelsea team with a superstar squad, the idea of winning the league becomes much more difficult. Rafa will build a great team and I'm sure he'll give us a great season. However, DO NOT EXPECT A MIRACLE IN THIS DAY AND AGE OF THE PREMIER LEAGUE!
