thought he did ok in his first season but was disrupted by injury - still think he could do a role as back up striker and as can see what certainly no worse than keane .

Voronin was nowhere near as bad as some people were making out.  He never got a run in the side and never got many chances to play in his best position of second striker.  Admittedly he didn't really take the limited chances he had and often looked off the pace or like his touch had deserted him.  Clearly he's better then what he showed here given his performances in the Bundeslige as a regular starter.

He's not the longterm solution for us I'll admit, not good enough, but I'd have taken him back for the second half of the season given our shortage of options (if of course that was allowed by the terms of the loan deal).

in agree with john in that i often thought voronin was a decent player. while his touch let him down a bit too often (how many players do we say that about...) he actually showed a fair amount of intelligence and imagination in his link up play. shame we can't have in the squad at the moment.

On-loan Liverpool striker Andriy Voronin has ruled out a return to Anfield once his season-long loan with Hertha Berlin ends.

The Ukrainian has enjoyed a productive season which has seen him fire Hertha to the top of the Bundesliga but despite previously stating that he wanted to return to the club Voronin, who scored a hat-trick against Energie Cottbus on Saturday, says he doesn't care what his employers think about him and is looking to engineer a permanent move to the German capital as soon as possible.

"I'm not interested in whether they (Liverpool) have noticed how I've been playing. I score goals for Hertha - not for the English side," he told German newspaper Bild.

"I don't give a damn what they think of me back on the island.

"I want a decision by the end of March. There have been a lot of enquiries from other clubs. If it takes too long to sort something out with Hertha, I'm going to talk to other clubs."

He scored again against Bayen Munich and kept Hertha on top of the league. Sell him now as he would never get valued as high as he is now.

Depends on what Hertha offer. He had good spells for us, he might be worth more as a squad player than a few million we might get for him.

Or as I said about Fowler, even if he isn't top quality (anymore), how much would we have to pay to get someone as good or better who would be as happy not starting most of the time? Unfortunately he may not want to return to Anfield and so our hand may be forced into selling at a low price, that is the danger with disgruntled loanees
Never buy from PC World, product quality is poor and their 'customer service' is even poorer
