or was it to be the first to slip fergie a length?

I cant remember now but whoever is the ref will have a sh1tter of a game, refuse us a blatent penny and award them a clear offside goal. And anyone goes withing 3 feet of that Ronald McFuking-Dirty-Cheating-Diving-Portuguese-Dildo Faced-Son of a motherless goat-Tw@t faced-Buck toothed-Greasy haired-Bum scrubber retard, will get booked. :D

So not a fan of Ronaldo then?  :wwww  :D

If it's Mike Riley, or Steve Bennet, Rafa wants to get his retaliation in loud and clear BEFORE the match. Feck bringing the game into disrepute and all that sh!t, if it's Riley I'd be talking openly to the press about how many penalties he's given man Utd at Old Trafford. Ramp up the pressure on the c... so when Ronaldo goes a tumbling he thinks twice before pulling the trigger. Similarly if it's Bennet, talk about the sending off lase season.

If it's neither, get in the press anyway and go back over each of the last five or six seasons and talk about the sending offs, the penalties etc. It's payback time for us against them, to say we are due a bit of luck is the understatement of the century.

Stu Averill, a wannabe Scouse/Scot. I remember the good times & have faith in them comin back

Beside the Hillsborough Flame, I heard a Koppite mournin, "Why so many taken on that day?" Justice has never been done. But their memory we'll carry on. There'll be Glory Round The Fields Of Anfield Road

I agree.......

He should use his PR reporter...that gium balague (sp ?).... He should give another of his fergie bashing interview of how he bullies refs...

This would sieve out any possibilities of them getting soft penalties.....

Then he should talk about rooney....perhaps giving him a new nickname....looney rooney... He should say how rooney sometimes retaliates after a tough but legal tackle and he doesn't get punished....

Then he has to accuse ronaldo of being a serial diver in the world.....

Finally he should play mindgames with vander sar....he should call him old...he should say his reflexes might not be as good as before....

He should do all this confidently...with a smirk on his face.

Reading out from a piece of paper with your head down...is not recommended...He did it last time...and people were saying he did an awesome impression of rainman....

There you go... :)

I fear if Torres plays they will (as ciggy said a few pages back) kick him all over the place, the way there back 4 play as soon as the ball gets fed into the striker they charge into him.
Its effective but half the time they are fouling the player, O'Shea did it about 5 times to that young inter winger last night until he got booked, fergie talks about protection for Ronaldo but his players dish out the exact same treatment to the danger men on the opposing sides.
They will get away with it as well at old trafford, my worry is that Torres will just get dumped on his erse everytime he gets it into feet and just get wound up by the lack of protection from the ref.

Alan Wiley is the ref, not much better than Riley  :glare:

I wish it was Pete Wiley of the Mighty WAH! he´s a scouser.

I remember their song 'The story of the blues' when I was at uni, we used to play it over and over on the jukie whilst we played pinball....  good days.

After Champions League (08/09) : P9 W4 D4 L1 F10 A6

Defeat was away to Boro after the win at the Bernie Inn

Before Champions League (08/09) : P9 W6 D2 L1 F16 A8

Defeat was away to Tottenham before the home game against Atletico (the other Madrid)

We've played only 10 Premiership games this season that didn't come before or after a Champions League game : P10 W6 D4 L0 F19 A6

Before : P9 W6 D2 L1 F16 A8 PTS 20 (Won 66.67%)
After : P9 W4 D4 L1 F10 A6 PTS 16 (Won 44.44%)
Neither : P10 W6 D4 L0 F19 A6 PTS 22 (Won 60.00%)

Goes to show we do tend to have a Champions League hangover problem.

07/08

Before* : P14 W8 D5 L1 F20 A8 PTS 29 (Won 57.14%)
After : P14 W7 D6 L1 F28 A12 PTS 27 (Won 50.00%)

*I've included the 0-0 game against Chelsea even though the FA Cup defeat against Barnsley preceded our Champions League game. I've excluded the "neither" category since some European Cup ties sandwich the league games at the tail end of a season so many of them "double up" ie a game before a Champions League game is also after one.

If only the mancs had played Roma away or had tougher opponents, at least we get an extra days rest even if Rafa left Torres on far too long on Wednesday unnecessarily. I hope that doesn't come back to bite us on the Rs
