If he wasn't unsure the main ref could had challenged that decision like in the Community Shield with Manchester Utd and Arsenal. Its not just one bad call, multiple horrible calls have been made through out the game.

Things will not happen overnight, its a quite simple concept that needs to be understood. Chelsea won't become champions overnigth and neither will we. It will take hard work to accomplish our goal this season, I think we can do it.
Many don't believe that we can, however I think differently. I don't honestly believe that Rafa will let his squad lose another game in the Premiership or in any European competions any time soon. He needed a loss in both places in order to learn how things work in Liverpool.
Losing one game is not the end of the world and it should not get in the way of being in the top three. If not the Premiership then there is plenty of more cups. FA,Champions League,Uefa cup,etc...
Arsenal is looking strong but they won't last forever, all things come to an end my friends.
