Greered

In my mind and now its seems immature I was hoping for a serious challenge, or do we wait for Arsenal to get crocked while we sort ourselves out. :kungfu:

We were all hoping Benitez could perform some sort of miracle and turn us into tite hopefuls overnight. Its looking clearer now what his job entails.Mr Houllier left us thirty points behind Arsenal and i personally would be happy trailing them by ten next May.Hopefully that makes me a realist not a pessimist.

Kindaconfuzed go to my thread titled David Moore's and you might find some of the answers there as to if Rafa will bring success or if we will carry on this 14 year spell as the great under-acheivers.

I have total faith in what Rafa will bring to this club and i think that it will take 2-3 seasons when we might see the final results of where he is taking Liverpool. I just hope that he clears out the dead-wood soon because GH's leftovers are just a bad reminder of what we have had to put up with. Diao and Biscan should be seeking new clubs in the next few weeks and i think also a new goalkeeper, centre back and striker must also arrive before the end of the season i hope.

Let Kinda have his say what ever it may be, however and this is for Kinda, what do you suggest happens then? you have made your point regarding Rafas start and highlighted Newcastles and Southamptons early action but what would you like to see happen?
The man who came to merseyside from Newcastle, the man who says he's part of Liverpool as much as the Liver building. When he was needed Alan Kennedy was there. And with now just 8 minutes to go it could be that Alan Kennedy has made a little history.

Myname is red

I was gonna say the posting has been blocked to me but look its open on this one :D

I'm not suggesting we get rid cos that is too quick but what I am suggesting is that we shouldn't sit back and think all is OK cos of the history he brings.

I dont understand the choice of players for Boltons game, Cisse on the bench, and when they do bring on Cisse both are playing independant.

Why did they play Gerrard out of position and why hasnt the manager had a word in his shell like (ear).  The long ball game wasn't working and having been at Bolton last year in the draw the wind howls across the Pennines and isnt open to that type of game, in fact the ground should be closed due to football health warnings.

What I'm suggesting is that the management should discuss with him the style, players chosen and the tactics. I think the stats for the game was 2 shots on target which is pretty dismal considering the money we spent.

I think we should give the guy 6 months and if nothing improves then thats it but dont make out all is rosy in the garden. The fans let emotion get in the way of the facts and the performance indicators, in other words if we were creating chances I would be more relaxed but we didnt and that is the worry.

I was fairly relaxed about the defence and worried about the attack and Raf says its the other way round, thats why I'm confuzed about him.

If I made the decision to bring him to Anfield then I would stand by him for 6 months but we need to be realistic and not close our eyes to the "nice image" which is what i think we did with Houlier (which included me until the last 6 months).

We seem to place more emphasis on what they say rather than the stats and I think the stats should be the decider and to date Raf's don't look too good.

You obviously want us to win the title desperatly but Im not sure how realistic that is this year, I would be happy just to see some major improvement in the way we play, not to be a shameful amount of points behind the winners and turn Anfield into a ground that people fear coming to again. Let me hit you with a possibility, GH takes over at Newcastle and ends up at the end of the season above Liverpool and Rafa what do we do? Sack again and start yet again?
The Liverpool way, or rather the Moores way is the patient way is 6 months really long enough to turn our club around. We have no right to win the title as you make clear we havnt won it for a long time now.

When you sit down and try an analyse it its difficult, I guess following your comments we have to give Raf at least 6 months (but I acknowledge your comments re is this long enuff).

In a way you have presented us with the parts but we dont have the instructions. What choices for manager where there at the time, i dont know and I'm not sure anyone other than the Liverpool board know. Was Raf the first choice then?

Hyppia says Raf wants to play the short ball game and then at Bolton we continue with the long ball, so whats going on?

We have built up Cisse and dont play him 1st half, what was that all about. We then move Gerrard out of position and he was the most ineffective I've seen him. He hit a long ball and it came back from a defender so he hit the same ball again and it went out!

I thought Warnock showed promise but only from a bad bunch, overall it wasn't good enuff with lots of bluster but no penetration and certainly no threat on goal.

I respect your point of view totally but I really dont think 6 months is long enough. What do others think? What would you deem as so unacceptable that you would want rafa out after just 6 months? Make them realistic peeps. Being relegated to Venus moon alpha div 12 due to Rafa turning the club into a religious sect does not count.

6 months? ??? Are you serious or what? Imagine if the board had told him that he only has this amount of time to try and rise the sinking ship of Liverpool FC! Talk about pressure!

Just like Chelsea , 5 new players,a  new manager and new coach  ???

Actually I agree with your sentiment, lets not use excuses for an inept performance at Bolton.

To bring Hitler into parallels with Rafa puts the top hat on a useless scaremongering post which serves only to demonstarte your ignorance and lack of faith. Your postings are always drivel, so y bother spouting ure hackneyed ****** and bull. I am just glad you are not a football chairman because god help any employee of yours.
