But I then explained to him that that was not what I meant and he comes back and attacks me even harder, that is the bit that is weird, the fact that you guys initially assume the worst of me is no surprise any more sadly.  :sniffle

Anyway feck all this, as said I was in a good mood before these weird attacks on me, so I'm going to go to bed and dream of Stevie G lifting number 6.

The Barcelona press are mocking.

The Madrid press are giving credit where credit is due:

A top game, a header decided a very tactical game.

    * Mascherano-Xabi, perfect. It's difficult to find a better couple of CM in the world. The Argie and The Spaniard didn't leave a single gap to Real Madrid.

(Funny to get that from Samba lovers football journos when at the home of those two great midfielders they talk about a negative partnership).

Tactical Battle. Juande and Benitez played a chess game, with little spaces, and with lots of patience required.

And at the end the smallest player decided. It's ironical that in a game that so many details were studied the game was decided by a header of a player that is 1.70m tall.

This is a translation from a Madrid journo. The actual good analysis of the game will be available tomorrow in a couple of blogs. This is not an analysis by the journo as it's very poor, but I thought it was relevant to translate it because it's rare to see the Madrid press acknowledging a better rival.

Very rare. And you must know that.

A good result against a very poor Real Madrid.

I thought Benayoun had a good game and we had some good spells in the 1st and 2nd half. Glad we didn't need to bring Gerrard too early and hope Torres' knock isn't too serious.

Have to say tho, Babel is f**king awful

Babel's shadow was a greater threat than he was tonight.

i had to laugh when Alonso passed the ball to Babel, only for the ball to bounce of Babel's shins and go out of play.  The guy is a clown and should be in a circus with Dossena
