Liverpool Football Club - General Discussion

I think this is the link for the video Nanny's talking about:

http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drilldown/N163319090220-1517.htm
All round the fields of Anfield Road
Where once we watched the King Kenny play (and could he play!)
Stevie Heighway on the wing
We had dreams and songs to sing
'Bout the glory, round the Fields of Anfield Road

Reina

Arbeloa           Skrtel            Agger         Insua

Kuyt            Mascherano     Carra         Aurelio

                                Yossi

                               Torres

This line up would mean less of a change in formation to what we are used to.  Carra is a risk in CM, and we may lack creativity with Carra and Mash in there, but we'd certianly be solid!!

Rafa will never go with this....but, then again who can 2nd guess him??

I'd rather lucas , i think he'll be out to redeem himself after getting sent off against everton and fecking up the wigan game by giving away the pen

I hope your right!

United just got a very lucky win against blackburn to now extend to 8 points clear....if it wasn't already, city is now even more a must win game!

Yes I didn't see the Mancs, but once again it seems they were far from the dream team which the media is talking them up to be. Still, they won which we all thought they would, which obviously means we could do with following suit.

A draw even would probably signal the towel being thrown in, so we don't need one of those. I'd really love to see us win each match until we go to Old Trafford. If there it proves a bridge too far then so be it, at least we've made them win it in a big match. To fail before then though would leave a sense of us giving it to them without a fight. We've done that too many times in the past for it to feel comfortable.

AM I right in thinking Gerrard will be not risked ahead of Real Game and Alonso is suspended with Five yellows?

Sorry if this has been repeated not read the whole thread. x

Lucas and Mascha in Midfield? Does not inspire confidence in a must win game.

I hope Rafa is a little brave and goes for a 4-4-2 and  does not play Kuyt on the wing but up front Ie:

     Reina

Arbeloa   CArra   Agger  Aurelio

Babel    Mascha  Lucas  Riera

             Kuyt  Torres

Thats what team Rafa should play for a 3 pointer.

If Rafa play 4-5-1 with Mascha and Lucas sitting back and Kuyt on wing we'll spend most of the game one the back foot. SWP and Robinho will give our midfield and Carra a handful for sure.

Need to be "Braver", cause it's the business end of the season now. No messing.

Also, forgot to say... Although we have struggled of late, I thought up until the Newcastle game in Dec , we looked strong had confidence and good momentum. just wished since then stevfie layed off the beers and Rafa kept quiet.

We just need to get that  momentum back,by beat the manc blue sh*te 2moz, by beat Real on wednesday or least get a score draw, then stuff the mancs at Old trafford and we are looking good once more.

its all about confidence and pshycology.....like yer ma would say......"be in by 10pm or else" ... :eyebrow

Looks good Nan but I don't think there's even a small chance that afa on't play Kuyt if he's available. Although many don't like him (and I'm no fan of his myself to be fair) Rafa clearly trusts him as a player for the "must win" big occasion matches.

lets hope after the break we can come back and show them fookers down the east lancs road that there in for one hell of a fight, we not only need to win tomorrow but win convincingly, we have to keep the pressure on with all the games coming up.
