I am after a DVD which is not available on Region 2 and the only copy on Amazon is like $70. I was wondering is there anyone here from the states who could perhaps but it and ship it and I could wire the money to them?

As you can see here it is under $30 but it only ships within the USA. On the Amazon UK site some :censored:

is selling it for £75! I thought it was $40 but it's £70.

Anyway if anyone here could help me out id be glad tosend a bit extra to that person as a thankyou. Unfortunatley Shotime dropped the show sometime ago so no one is legally able to sell it. I've even emailed Syemore Butts himself!

You can get a thing which makes your DVD player play DVD's from anywhere in the World for about 15 quid. I got one when I first moved to NZ as ours is a recordable one and would have cost a bit to replace. It was from the UK I think, just google "how to change your DVD player to global" or whatever and you'll find it. Anyway this little bit of circuit board with a pointer thing and some wires arrived through the post You follow this little sequence of thiongs to do and bingo! your dvd player will play absolutely anything. Amazing really.

No doubt by pressing a button on the back or something I could have done the same thing for free, but feck knows how you do it and this wee gadget did the job.

There is a crack for most DVD players. Usually you just punch in a code and they will play any region.
What DVD player have you got Bav and I will have a look, or better yet just type in the name and the model number of your player and add region free to the description and see what Google throws up.

Nah I don't care if it's used thats fine.

Majority of DVD players are multi region anyway but as Saint says for those that are not you can get a crack.

Most if not all DVD players are capable of playing all regions. Just search for a software hack to enable it for your model.
