That's fair enough but for me, if there was a change or a change was needed, far better if it happened with the club under new ownership. These two :censored: would make a complete clusterf..u..c..k of the whole situation, i'd bet my house on it. They couldn't agree on the colour of sh...ite, and Rick Parry (only having the backing of one owner) would continue to be what he is now, useless.

I know this thread isn't about the manager so apologies for steering it back that way it's just I think that those advocating a change should recognise it could be a complete f...u...c...k up with these two in charge. The situation Mick has painted here in terms of there being no money and having to sell better players to raise funds would become all the more real IF there was a change of manager.

To be fair to Parry, he did bring Rafa in.

Yeah I was thinking that as I wrote this but that was back when he actually had some influence at the club. I'm guessing that only having one of the owners behind him has now reduced his decision making capability to virtually nil. He is a CEO in name only from what I can see.

Again to be fair Scott, he only becomes useless once Rafa signs his new contract mate  :D

Not the most inspiring list, particularly in the "sturm" department! :D

I doubt thats 100% correct...

I mean they have Jo in there who Man City signed for 24M Euros in July 2008 - and I very much doubt that they signed him on a 1 year contract!

I think the one that stands out for me is Daniel Sturridge from Man City - quite a promising striker, by all accounts, and he aint gonna get much of a chance now at city....

If I could pick one who we would actually have a chance of signing I would sign Sturridge off Man city. He wants a big wage, but on a free that shouldn't prove too much of a handicap. He looks like he could develop into a top class creative player, while good enough now to get his share of games.

Good post Redman in wales  :D

both him and micah richards were linked with villa a while back. i think it was something like £12m for the pair which to me is an absolute snip. considering richards was linked with chelsea for £18m a while back, you could probably get him for about £8m now.

sturridge i've been impreseed with ever since i saw him destroy our youth team in the fa cup final a few years back. has got all the attributes but will hardly get a look in at city now that they've signed bellamy and will probably get santa cruz in the summer.

We could sign Gary Neville, we could do with another right back  :wwww

How funny that Gary's agent is his brother (?) Barry :) :)

Reading through the list it seems to be players out of contract or currently on loan at other clubs. Like Jo, I can't see that Quaresma was on a one year deal either.

couple of points...

1. the team we have at the moment is doing well, do we really need to spend a lot of money to improve? I think not, more play time together as a settled team might just make the current team improve.

2. If we have to buy there is some good quality lower league players. Beckford for one. I know he's a cheating elbowing dirty tw@t but he's banging them in.

3. There is also young players that play prem footie too, like my pal Adam Johnson who has just broken into the Middlesboro 1st team. Now he's a North East lad to the heart so prising him away from boro might be a problem but ya never know.

Not sure about the accuracy of that Bosman list to be honest.

Players that I would consider are...

1)  Zaki  (I'm sure that's just that his loan expires at the end of the season - doubt he's on a bosman)

2)  Eboue - said it before, play this lad right back instead of midfield and he's quality.

3)  Evans - plays for the scum and I can't believe United have not renewed his contract - must be a mistake.  If he was on a free though he's the standout player on that list, United haven't missed Ferdinand when he's been out this season, and it's because of this guy.
