There isn’t much to get excited about in the reserves to be honest. I don’t see many players who even have enough quality to be given a game in the league cup.

Nemeth looks like a natural striker and Pacheco definitely has something about him but neither are head shoulders above the rest. Pacheco has only really started to find his feet this season and it maybe the season after next we see him given a chance in the league cup. Scoring goals in the reserves looks easy for Nemeth so he needs to start playing regularly against fully grown men.

Spearing can play a bit, good passer but shame he is so small. Darby is too good for the reserves and needs a loan move to a Championship side or he will never get any better.

Martin Kelly is a stand out player for the under 18s and a real brute for his age, will be interesting to see how he develops.

There is young kid from Finland or Sweden I think who looked a bit tasty in a recent under 18s game that I recently saw. He plays on the wing and is a good dribbler.

Saw Adam Pepper in an under 18s game he didn’t look anything out of the ordinary.

Apart from that there isn’t much

Palsson is the Icelandic central midfielder that joined in January. The guy I’m talking about was playing for us before January and is winger.

Just had a look on the LFC.TV site and I think this was the guy I saw. He did really well in the particular game and set up a couple and scored.

Name: Alex Kacaniklic
Date of birth: 13-08-1991
Born: Sweden
Position: Left Wing
Year: 2nd year

Talented Swedish left winger Alex Kacaniklic was brought into the Academy in the summer of 2007 from Helsingborg.

Under-18s manager Hughie McAuley said: "Alex is a talented player and has already played at reserve team level. We've got good competition for places down the left side this season with Christopher Buchtmann, Tom Ince and Shane O'Connor.

"Alex is a naturally gifted footballer who is very quick. He crosses really good balls and can also be effective on the right wing when he cuts inside and scores goals. I'm looking forward to seeing him make more progress this year. If he can do that then I don't see any reason why Alex can't continue to push on and get games at a higher level."

Kacaniklic signed a pro contract recently and does look tasty in the U18s as does Laurie Dalla Valle who is a scoring machine, and they say he is probably an even better second striker

Bruna, I think finally had a decent game in a red shirt tonight. Hopefully he has turned a corner because he has been below expecations so far, and still isn't there yet. But if he has turned a corner and starts to improve, he could become a David Silva type player. He just turned 18 at the end of January so I am not ready to write him off yet, but its still an uphill climb for the lad.

LFC TV, the official club television channel, is now completely free to watch to all supporters who have either the basic Sky package or the XL package on Virgin Media.
Launched in September 2007, LFC TV was previously only available as part of the Setanta Sports Pack but following the Irish broadcaster entering into administration last month, the club have now made the channel available for free for a short period on Sky Channel 434 and Virgin Media channel 544.

LFC TV's free period will cover all of our pre-season friendlies and fans who tune into the channel will be able to watch delayed coverage of every game we play this summer - from our first game on Wednesday in Switzerland against St Gallen to our final warm-up game against Atletico Madrid at Anfield on August 8th
