I started in 1975, when my dad was doing his post-graduate studies in Norwich. All of the local kids in school supported Norwich and found it a bit perplexing that my elder brother and I supported Liverpool. I was 7 then and we used to pretend that we were Keegan and Toshack every time we played football.
There was no turning back after that, Liverpool won the league in '75-'76, and again the following season together with the first European Cup success. We lost the FA Cup final to the mancs and Keegan left for Hamburg SV. My brother and I always followed the exploits of one Kenny Dalglish at Celtic whenever there was news about him and in the summer of 1977, he scored for Scotland against England and we were really overjoyed that he signed for Liverpool to replace Keegan. Keegan was a very good Liverpool player but Kenny was the greatest.
